"Who did this to you?!..." Shuichi has said this multiple times to you already, it's like bad luck follows you every time you talk to the bluenette. You didn't know what to do so you lied again. You hated lying... It wasn't your style.
"I- fell down the stairs on the way to class..." That was an obvious lie and Shuichi knew that. You were found near the locker away from the stairs and classrooms.
"Liar..." That word shattered your mind. You never wanted to lie... but you didn't want him to be involved and get hurt either... "Tell me the truth Kokichi... I- I care about you so you need to tell me what happened." Worry surrounded him. It was like there was a clear note written all over him. You looked at your thumbs, fiddling with them.
"You promise not to get involved..." Shuichi's face turned a 180°. He was trying to comprehend what you meant by that. As a detective in training he should have known by now but he wasn't that good with social interactions.
"Promise not to get-" You cut him off.
"Just promise me!" You shouted at your highest octave. It wasn't that loud nonetheless you never spoke loudly outside and would jump into things carelessly. [Like when you saved Shumai]
"... I promis-"
"I am sorry sir but it's time for your last lesson." The nurse said unexpectedly. You sighed in relief. As Shuichi was about to exit those white double door he turned to you.
"We are walking to our dorm together Kokichi." He said, not giving you any room to object. You just looked down. Your purple hair strands following. You just nodded in response. Shuichi let put a small smile in relief and left the office.
Time for you went by slowly. Sharps pains hitting you every time you thought you were able to relax now. You started thinking of random things to do like count how many cracks were in the wall and stuff like that.
It was almost time to leave. The purple haired nurse ran out the office quickly, locking all doors as she ran to her meeting. You looked around, the room was small now that the door was locked... You cradled yourself into a ball and started to cry on the white sheets.
"Dad- please stop... don't lock me in the closet again... please..." You muttered quietly.
Saihara-kun was waiting outside for you. He started to worry. He didn't think of you as the type of person to randomly ditch after saying yes. After another 15 minutes of waiting he barged through the open door and headed straight to the nurses office. He attempted to open the door. He saw your faint silhouette in the background and started attacking the door, eventually succeeding in his task and dashing straight towards you.
"Kokichi!" He ran up to you with even more worry than before. He embraced you in his warm arms.
"Don't hurt me please..." Shuichi looked down at you. Seeing you were shaking in a trance like state, then it hit him. You had claustrophobia.
"Kokichi." He shook you gently, which then turned violent as you finally snapped out of it. Staring into his golden eyes.
"Shuichi..." You buried your face in his chest leaving tear stains all over his black shirt.
"Shh...." You held him tightly. Trying to get him through what scared him so much. A loud bang echoed the hallway. Breaking the silence. You and Shuichi looked at the white clock on the plain wall and noticed it was closing time.
