Blinking your eyes once more, your gaze fell onto the heartbreaking scene that was currently unfolding right in front of you. Your boyfriend for a few years, Kouya Aotsuki, was currently making out with some random cat, which you assumed was one of his fans from the concert that happened a few days ago. Holding back your tears, you slowly walked backwards towards the door as to exit this scene but to your dismay, you bumped into one of Kouya's bandmates, Keisuke, which made you drop the present box you were holding. As the box fell onto the ground, it made a loud sound that managed to break the noise that Kouya and the cat were making. Turning their heads towards you, you saw Kouya gained a look of shock and horror on his face as he tried to get a few words out, but you didn't hear it as you instantly pushed past Keisuke in a rush to get away from the person who broke your heart into pieces. "(Y/N), wait!!" You heard him scream before your sense of hearing slowly became numb.

~Flashback~

Your heart jumped a little as you continued to stare at Kouya in disbelief. It was currently Valentine's Day and you honestly spent it all alone with your best friend, Torahiko, every year but to your utter surprise, one of your crushes was actually asking you out on a date this year. You were just having lunch and chatting with Torahiko when Kouya came up to you and took out a red rose, asking you out right on the spot. Torahiko, being the protective friend and rival of Kouya, was against it and tried to convince you to not go out with him but after a small arguement, you managed to convince Torahiko to let you and Kouya go out together to test the waters. When you took the rose from Kouya and told him you accepted his advance, you could feel Torahiko's watchful gaze on you two, but you chose to push it aside.

Arriving at one of the well known structures of Minasato, you knocked on the wooden door and waited for an answer as tears continued to stream down your face. Luckily, the one who answered the door was exactly the person you wanted to see. Torahiko had opened the door expecting a customer but when he saw you, he immediately understood the situation and his expression darkened as he told you to go to his room. Nodding, you entered the building and began making your way towards the stairs, before going up and facing a door that you've known since childhood. Turning the knob, you went in and sat on Torahiko's bed as you wiped away your tears. After a while, Torahiko came up holding a bottle of milk to which he handed to you. You slowly drank the milk as you felt Torahiko's hand on your back before he asked you to explain what happened. Gulping a moutful of milk down, you slowly explained what happened to Torahiko as he began patting your back in comfort.

When you finished explaining, tears were streaming down your face again as Torahiko resorted to giving you a tight hug, telling you that everything was gonna be ok. Before long, you could hear one of Torahiko's uncle yell out loud, saying how someone was here to see you. You both instantly knew who it was as Torahiko told you to go confront him even if you were reluctant. Exiting the inn, you saw Kouya with his back against the wall, fidgeting with his dog tag while his cheeks were tear-stained. When he saw you, he made a dash and captured you in his arms, spouting apologies here and there. You refrained from hugging back as you asked him to explain the scene you walked into earlier.

Letting you go, he began explaining, "The thing is, that fan was going to give me 30000 Yen if I were to make out with her. I was against it at first, but I knew our anniversary was coming up and I wanted to do something special for you. I promise, I had no feelings for her whatsoever, it was all for you..." He then looked at you with pleading eyes as you pondered over what to do. In the end, you sighed as you walked into his arms, saying, "Fine, I forgive you Kouya. Just please don't do this to me anymore, you don't need to do anything special for me at all cause all I need is you." Smiling, Kouya pecked your cheek as he held you tightly. The entire time, you could feel Torahiko watch over you two, making sure that Kouya didn't hurt you any further.
