"Stop and Stare, I think I'm moving but I go nowhere"

Numb. That's all you had felt since he had jetted off to LA to pursue his career with Marvel as Spider-Man. The worst part was he told you he was leaving, two days before his flight.

Tom was your rock, and to think he'd tell you later rather then sooner was what had made you feel so heartbroken.

"Mum, I was getting ready to drive earlier, I thought I was driving and I was just parked there. My mind was racing." You told her, trying to prevent the tears.

"Y/N, you miss him. You're allowed to feel upset." She said with a frown.

"I don't think he realises how much I need him mum." You sighed.

"Yeah I know that everyone gets scared."

It had been three months and you had finally been allowed to come out to America to reunite with your boyfriend.

"I didn't want to mention this on the phone, but you mum told me how down you were about all of this baby." Tom grabbed your hands in his as you at on the edge of the bed.

"I'm scared Tom. I come home to an empty house if Tessa is with your parents. I'm so grateful I have you, and I will forever be proud of you for going for your goals. I'm just scared I'm going to lose you in the process." Tears threatened to spill from your eyes.

"Hey, hey, hey. None of them tears. Everyone gets scared Y/N, even me. I hate being away from you."

"You start to wander why you're here, not there."

Tom had felt himself becoming just as heartbroken as you. It had been three weeks since you flew back to London and he just felt so down.

"You've been crying." You whispered over the FaceTime call, taking in his puffy eyes and tear stained cheeks.

"I'm here and you're not, I'm living my dream, but I don't even have my girlfriend, in person, to be there with me." He frowned.

"I will be soon babe, please don't cry."

"And you'd give anything to get what's fair."

"You've gotta be fucking kidding me!" You screamed, scaring the life out of your best friend.

"What's wrong?" She panicked, now kicking in her protective mode.

"It's not fair." You wailed like a child. She grabbed your phone from your hand and flicked through the photos of Tom looking like he was having the time of his life with his cast.

"They get to see him everyday, and I'm lucky to see him even once a month." Your separation anxiety was kicking in way worse then what it was when he first left.

"He'll be back soon." She whispered. And true to her word, he was. The pain went on for months, but the moment you were back in his arms, you felt so protected and safe. And that was the best feeling to have.
