The Act of Valor

The Act of Valor is the heroes welcome and the heroes final goodbye.
To protect us they will risk everything
When the sun sets and the moon rises upon lands they trek; they look upon the moon to pray for their safe return.
When the moon sets and the sun rises it's a new day for the heroes and they welcome with it another prayer.
When they die they do not cry
When they cry they do not show it
The superheroes that we believe are fake are real because they come home every day or come home every year.
They are Police to protect us from ourselves
They are Firefighters to put out the fires of hell
They are paramedics who heal the weak and treat the sadness
They are the soldiers they protect our waters, our homes and our beliefs
To when they come home they cry
To when they leave they cry
When they die the come back as heroes; adorn with medals, ribbons and their superhero suit.
We honor them with holidays and we thank them for their valiant sacrifices they made to keeps us safe.
