After some days of travelling, we reached the borders of Plegia, when we were greeted by two people standing above, both full of evil in their soul.

The first one was a man with red hair, sideburns and beard. From the sleek clothes, the cape and the small crown on his forehead I deduced he was King Gangrel.

At his side was a woman with tanned skin, long white hair and a black outfit.

Gangrel:"What's this, then? The exalt herself, in all her radiance? I fear I must shield my eyes! Bwa ha ha ha!"

Me:"(Whispering)I don't like him already..."

Chrom:"(Whispering)I know what you mean."

Emmeryn:"King Gangrel, I've come for the truth of this unfortunate incident between us."

The woman at his side stepped in.

???:"The truth? I can give you the truth."

Emmeryn:"Pheraps milady might share her first name?"

???:"You may call me Aversa."

Emmeryn:"Very well, Aversa. Is Maribelle unharmed?"

Gangrel:"Who? Oh yes, the little blond rat."

He snapped his finger with a sadic smirk and from the bushes a warrior came out with Maribelle.

She tried to get away, but the warrior was grabbing her tight.

Maribelle:"Unhand me, you gutter-born troglodite!"

At that scream Vaike sweat-dropped.

Vaike:"Yup, she's totally fine."

Lissa:"Maribelle!"

Maribelle:"Lissa? Darling, is that you?"

Aversa:"This girl crossed the Plegian border without our consent. And what's more, she wounded the brave Plegian soldiers who sought only to escort her safely home."

Me:"Do you at least realise how much bullshits you're saying, woman?"

I stepped in ignoring Chrom's hand.

Aversa:"Oh? And who might you be?"

Me:"Y/N L/N, and nobody can lie free in front of me, woman. No sin can pass through me."

Gangrel:"You dare to offend my councilor? Who do you think you are? Not to mention you're trying to help that pest. This will call a weighty punishment. After all, what if she were later confess to being an Ylissean spy? My goodness! It would take an act of CONSIDERABLE good faith to repair our relations."

Me:"And even less to shut your mouth for good, you-"

Emmeryn:"That's enough, Y/N."

I turned to her.

Me:"But they're lying! This is just a farce!"

Emmeryn:"I trust your judgement, but there's no reason to fight."

She turned to Gangrel, who was trying not to laugh.

Emmeryn:"King Gangrel, I request that you release this woman at once. Surely you and I can sort out these affairs without the need for hostages."

Gangrel:"Without so much as an apology? Why should I even bother with parley? I'm within my rights to have her head this instant and be home in time for supper."

Chrom:"You black-hearted devil!"

Me:"I really wouldn't try, if you care for your head."

Gangrel:"My my. Control your dogs, my dear, before they get someone hurt."

I was really, REALLY close to unleash my chains and break his neck.

Gangrel:"Now then, Your Graceliness. Pheraps we can arrange a trade? You give me the Fire Emblem, and I return Mari Contrary here in one piece."

And there I was lost.

Me:"Uh, the what?" 'Ghost, you know something?'

Ghost Rider:'And how should I? I know nothing of other worlds.'

Emmeryn:"You would ask for Ylisse's royal treasure? But why?"

Gangrel:"Because I know the legend! The Fire Emblem is the key to having all one's wishes realised. I have desired it for years. YEARS! Yet, my birthday comes and goes each year, and nothing from Ylisse. He he..."

Emmeryn:"The Emblem's power is meant for a single purpose, King Gangrel: to save the world and its people at their hour of most desperate need. Would you claim a more noble wish?"

Gangrel:"I want what every Plegian wants: a grisly end for every last Ylissean! What could be more noble than that?"

Emmeryn:"What?"

Me:"And here he showed his true colors."

Gangrel:"Surely you have not forgotten what the last exalt did to my people? Your father named us heathens! His 'crusade' across Plegia butchered countless of my subjects and my kin!"

He pointed at me.

Gangrel:"You said 'no sin can pass through me', right? Then why don't you make THEM pay for what they did."

I kept staring at him.

Me:"The sins of the father doesn't fall on his children. This woman is pure, way more than you!"

Gangrel:"Enough! Give me the Fire Emblem!"

Maribelle:"No, Your Grace! I'd sooner die than act as a bargaining chip for this filthy reprobate!"

Emmeryn:"No, Maribelle..."

Gangrel:"Ugh...Taaaaaalk talk-talk-talk-talk. It's time to speak louder than words! This negotiation is over, Your Luminosity! I shall have the Emblem if I have to pry it from your shiny dead hands!"

Some soldiers came out and rushed at Emmeryn.

Me:"Not so fast!"

I threw my chains against two of them sending them against the wall, while Chrom went at the third one and slashed him immediately.

Chrom:"Not so fast! Or you'll all suffer the same fate!"

Gangrel:"Now that's a declaration of war if ever I've heard one...a big messy war that will bleed you Ylissean dry. Bwa ha ha!"

At that laugh a lot of soldiers came out from their hideouts.

Me:"A trap...figures..."

Gangrel:"Bwa ha ha! I have my war! Captain Orton! Remain here, and take down as many Ylisseans as you can. You can expect reinforcements from the forts as well. Now, do your best...at doing your worst! Bwa ha!"

That said he left without turning back.

The soldies were getting closer.

Frederick:"This is bad, we fell on his trap."

Sully:"That blastin' jerk! King may be, but I'll pierce it like a pig!"

Vaike:"Uh, Chrom, what should we do?"

He just stood there holding his sword, so I stepped in.

Me:"At this point, let's give him what he wants."

Lissa:"Y/N?"

I advanced to some soldiers, all ready to attack.

Me:"If he wants a war so badly..."

I transformed with a grin and the soldiers backed away.

Me:"...then he'll have a war."
