[y/n] was sort of an outcast. Nobody bothered her, and she didn't bother anyone. She was just the silent girl in class. Void of any emotions. Some days she would be talkative, the next she would become a thrown away toy. Nobody cared, she didn't mind. The silence was enough to make her happy. Ever since her parents moved to here, she got bullied less. But, she now works at the bakery her parents own.

It was an annoyance to her, but she grew to love the place. It was cozy, warm and full of smiles. She already figured out what days are the popular days and which aren't. Working in the bakery had its perks, like eating the leftovers. Her stomach growled at the thought of the fresh bread she could eat. Though a problem with the bakery was that it far from the school. It was around a twenty minute walk. Still, she got to pass through the neighborhood, where most of her friends are. A convenience store was also in the walk home.

[y/n] decided to get something to drink at the convenience store, since it was much warmer than usual for October. Searching for some cash in her bag, she notices a red head. His hair always stuck out to her, bright like a highlighter in the crowds at school. Chuuya was known for being a troublemaker, friends with Dazai Osamu, and sporty. He has a small temper as well. [y/n] heard from her friends that he got into four fights once.

Now noticing that she has been staring, Chuuya stares right back at [y/n]. He starts blushing, then started to run away. [y/n] was confused until she realized that he had been hurt. There seemed to be some dried blood on his shirt. He didn't want her to know how 'weak' he was. [y/n] realized that she didn't have enough money for anything.

'Better get going to the bakery, I promised Mom to help.'

Once [y/n] turned the corner, she dashed straight in the bakery. Grabbing the apron in the back, she drops her bag quickly. Putting it on, [y/n] ties her hair up (If your hair is short, you leave it down). Sighing, she sits down behind the counter. The clock moves slowly, as she starts her math homework. It was around six, when she hears the bell above the door.

"Welcome!" [y/n] looks up from her homework.

[y/n]'s eyes widen. It was Chuuya! He looks back, shocked to see [y/n]. Awkward silence was all you could describe at that moment. Chuuya grabs a few buns, throwing them on the counter. [y/n] scans the items, asking for the money.

"Here." Chuuya gives extra, but he was out of the door before [y/n] could give back change.
