Contently, she smirked to herself, sipping on her glass of champagne as she waited for him to arrive, the rich flavoured liquids worth over 500,000 won running down her throat and through her blood stream making her slightly tipsy bit by bit.
As he walked in, he sent her a look that she couldn't quite distinguish. Confusion maybe?
Or disappointment? Taking a seat beside her at the bar, he turned to face her with a small sigh."What's wrong?"
"That's what I want to know," Suji leaned her head on her hands, sliding along a glass of whisky in hopes that he would drink it and reveal all she wanted to know. "Why are you always with Yejin these days?"
"Why are you always bitching these days?" Seonghwa retorted, not feeling up to deal with Suji's antics. "Don't you have nothing better to do?"
"Says the one who's clearly in love with a woman he shouldn't," Suji smirked slightly as she could tell she struck a nerve by the way his face had dropped.
"You're right..." Seonghwa sighed, dropping his head to stare down at the bar countertop, avoided her stares.
Suji gulped not expecting him to be so forward and admit it without a drink, especially as he wasn't the type to share everything in his life.
"Is it so wrong for me to love? I like a woman and though she doesn't acknowledge my feelings I still can't help but feel my heart fluttering around her. Even when she ignores me. I know she loves another man-" he sighed in frustration, running his slender fingertips through his silky hair and glancing up at her. "And I'm going to change that. I'm tired of seeing her everyday and being so vulnerable."
Standing up, Seonghwa sent her a small sincere seeming smile. "I'm tired of the way you're acting Suji. You've changed and I think it's time for our friendship to go separate ways. The person you've become is ugly. If you ever decide to stop being this way just call, I'll always make time for you."
"Just like you did for Mirae?" Suji blurted out in anger, glaring at him ferociously with her piercing black cat eyes.
Seonghwa turned away from her and stormed out, ignoring her just as Suji had done to him many times for Mingi. He bit the inside of the cheek to calm himself as he remembered her last words.
"I'm not the only one who left Mirae behind."
Seonghwa stumbled out into the busy night streets of Seoul, calling out for a taxi as many passed by, filled with customers due to rush hour.
Despite it being rush hour, Suji had already found herself standing outside Mingi's apartment fifteen minutes later, gripping onto her phone and staring down at the recent recording.
There was a small click before the door opened to reveal a slightly dishevelled Mingi. He sent Suji a sharp glare, despite receiving so many glares the only one that hurt was from Mingi. She didn't want him to hate her, she would have traded her life with Yejin's in a second. Being poor didn't matter as long as she had Mingi's love. Unfortunately, life didn't work like that, however, she would try her best to make it work. If the door was closing, she would pry it open with her bare hands even if it took forever.
"Go away, I don't know why it won't get through your thick skull-"
She had to admit that she was feeling hurt by his words, however, she pushed it away and continued as she knew that her plan would change things for better or worse.
"I get you don't want to see me, talk to me or even listen to me but I thought you should know." Suji pretended to be sad for Mingi but really her heart was racing with excitement. "You love a vixen."
She then played the recording to Mingi of Seonghwa confessing about loving a woman who loved another man. Instantly his demeanour changed, his eyes darkening as flashing images of Seonghwa and Yejin together, laughing, having fun flashed through his head. Jealousy? Anger?
Whatever it was, Mingi was unreadable at this moment. He barged past Suji as she called after him but it was no use, he couldn't hear her. Like a bull, Mingi was seeing red and was charging rapidly towards it.
