COURAGE
"PRISONER 11, you're up next." MC called.
An opposite of the previous student. Its height got me thinking if the guy's going to be in a basketball league but with his slouched back, tiny steps, and eyes on the floor while his bangs are covering almost entire of his vision... I don't think he'll even make it. Its timid and awkward walking really, really tuned down that charisma he could possibly exhibit.
Nung napunta na siya sa gitna—his eyes were still fixated on the floor, kaya habang nagsasalita siya para niyang kinakausap 'yong lapag. I get it, lahat ng mata sa 'yo nakatutok, lahat ng atensyon sa 'yo. Who wouldn't get nervous?
"Uh... I'm Prisoner 11. It's my favorite number, don't ask me why. I like rock music, especially The Rolling Stones. They... they keep me alive."
Based on his I.D. Lace, it's a freshman. A normal introduction. Totoo ngang opposite sila ni Prisoner 12. You really won't be able to guess what goes on their mind. If I were to pick the section that frightens me the most, I would definitely pick the freshmen students. But I guess it's too early to judge.
Prisoner 10 was next who welcomed us with his hot guy looking vibe—subtly flexing his muscles and biceps while he walks to the stage. He's by far the most attractive guy I had seen here. His pulled back hair actually caught my attention at first sight. But do I care about those things? Definitely not. Just a simple appreciation and I'm simply going to move on with my life.
"I'm the 10th prisoner," he paused and looked at everyone like he's waiting for our response. "A senior, not really thrilled about graduating. Uhh, I used to do commercials when I was still a kid but then I realized that boxing is my passion, now I'm planning to be the next Mannie! I know he's a legend but—"
"Oh, you want to do politics, too?"
All of our heads turn to the voice that cut his momentum. It was Prisoner 14 with his mocking tone. That guy steals the spotlight whenever he pleases. Despite the negative energy I feel towards him, the room lightened for a second.
"Geez, that introduction was so characterless! Lame and uninteresting. Wouldn't it be better to be: Boxing is my passion! Now I'm planning to beat everyone up with my boxing skills and escape!" It was a whisper but it was enough for me to hear it because the one talking is beside me. I slowly turn my head to the left to look at her.
Another senior. Ang gara at ang sosyal tignan. Para bang kapag binangga ka niya ikaw pa kailangan mag-sorry. The vibes she radiates really scares off an introverted person like me. If I were to compare her with a fictional character, it would be Regina George.
She has that silky long wavy brown hair na kaka-perm lang siguro kahapon. She already stood up before I could completely see her whole face. Hindi ko nakita nang maayos kung ano'ng itsura niya pero kung ibabase ko sa boses mukha siyang mataray. And look at how she walks! Akala mo rarampa sa isang runway.
When she faced us, sinalubong kami ng nakataas na kilay niya while still looking incredibly pretty. Not gonna lie, she is gorgeous. Ang haba ng pilikmata niya so every time she blinks makes me think she's trying to seduce me. She has her arms crossed and sighed before speaking. "Alright, let me get this straight, I don't like the whole point of this introduction with utterly disgusting stories! Hey, I'm prisoner blah blah blah and I have the motive to kill somebody in this place!" and laughed on her own. "So fucking hilarious." She said in a sarcastic manner.
"Anyways, Prisoner 9. Call me 9. Guys at school used to say I should be arrested for stealing their hearts." She smirked. "Not my fault I look this good." Ngumiti siya sa amin at bumalik na sa kinauupuan niya.
