full of blue blood
and turquoise heat from your heart
you take the street lamps and
hold them
against my shivering papery skin
for warmth
i love the way the snow melts
in your eyes
━ soft, sun-filled summer mornings
full of lazy sheets
and burning goosebumps from
your naked skin
you urge the orange and yellow rays
through the feathery curtains
and paint them
in my tangled hair to give me
vibrate glowing highlighted ribbons
i love the way the red morning rises
in your eyes
━ cherry tree springs full of mid-afternoon
bare footed walks
and rolling green laughter from your
lyrical, plump lips
you cup shimmering sea foam in
your crinkling palms to pour down
my open throat
i love the way the blossoming sky sets
in your eyes
━ golden leafed falls in the evening full of
crying bubbling champagne
and bone chilling winds that sweep
our dead limbed sadness away
you press your cheek against mine and
crush me like a crisp cinnamon pine cone
in a wild attempt to keep our
splintering love in its aching spell
i love the way the cranberry autumn
fades in your eyes

you are my rain.
softly tapping on my window with
cool fingers combing my hair
you are my heaven.
creamy wings of serenity engulfing my
sobs
you are my paradise.
the sandy beaches rough on my belly
versus the smooth skin of your arms
you are my falling.
trees of mahogany and berries with
crimson stains
━ you are mine, and i am yours
through all the never ending
hourglass seasons
you desperately kiss me under
midnight stars of blinding white fire
to keep my heart burning
i love the way our love looks
in your eyes
