Once I'm alone, I decide to call Gabriel again.

"Hey, Cassie!" Gabe chirps. "Whatcha need?"

"Do I have some sort of background? Like what happened before I came here, in this universe?" I ask.

"Smart," he chuckles. "Matter of fact, you do." I lean back in the seat, waiting for him to continue. "So basically your parents are hardcore Christians. You don't like them. You have an abusive ex. You have scars on your back from both your ex, and parents. Now Castiel, it's important that nobody sees those scars."

"Why?" I ask.

"Because you don't want pity, okay? Don't even show Dean," Gabriel says.

"Who was abusive?" I ask.

"Balthazar," Gabe says.

"Really?" I ask. He nods. I stare at him in confusion. "Why would I date Balthazar? I never had any romantic attachment to him."

"In this universe you do," he replies.

"Isn't dating a guy...wrong? I've only seen Dean with girls," I point out. "If he's disgusted by it, shouldn't I be?"

Gabriel sighs. "Charlie Bradbury," he says.

My breathing hitches. "Charlie," I whisper. "She was into girls, wasn't she?"

"Yep," he chirps. "And Dean helped her flirt with a guy. If he was able to flirt with a guy that easily, why would he be disgusted by it? Not doing it and being disgusted by it are two different things."

I sigh. "Gabe, I don't know any of these emotions I'm experiencing. How do I decipher them?"

Gabe thinks for a moment. He snaps his fingers. I tilt my head in confusion. "They're deciphered now. It'll still be a new feeling, though." He pretends to look at his watch, even though he doesn't have one. "You should probably go. Balthazar is coming to your dorm." Then he hangs up.

I stare at the screen in shock. Fear wells up inside of me. I can't control it. It's happening instinctively. I grab my phone and run out of my dorm. Sadly, I bump into Balthazar.

"Woah," he chuckles. "You okay, Castiel?"

I shrink away from him in fear. It's a new feeling, and I'm not used to this. I can't stop it. It makes me panic even more.

"Yes," I reply quietly.

He leans in, mouth next to my ear. I flinch, squeezing my eyes shut. "I missed you."

I take a deep breath, trying to gain the courage to back away. Suddenly, Balthazar isn't near me anymore. I open my eyes, seeing Dean has pushed him. Dean flexes his muscles, looking intimidating. I can't help but rake my eyes over his body. He looks absolutely sexy, all angry and protective like that.

It doesn't even sink in until a couple moments later, that I called Dean Winchester sexy. My breathing hitches. I mean, obviously, if I dated Balthazar, I'm not straight. But it's Dean.

Speaking of him, he walks over to Balthazar. "What do you think you're doing?" Dean growls.

"Flirting with my boyfriend," Balthazar says, rolling his eyes.

"Last time I checked, he was my boyfriend. Not yours," Dean retorts.

I bite my lip at the realization that Dean actually called me his boyfriend. I know it was an act, but Dean seems genuinely pissed off.

"What?" Balthazar asks. "But he's mine!"

"Was," I say, hesitantly walking over to them. "I was yours, Balthazar. You ruined it." I take a deep breath before continuing. "I'm his now."

Dean hesitantly wraps an arm around me. I lean into his side. Balthazar stares at us in shock.

"You're going to regret this," he warns.

I flinch, digging my head into Dean's chest. Dean puts his hand on my back, about to rub it soothingly. I pull away and wince instead. Dean looks at me in confusion.

"Cass?" He asks hesitantly.

"You haven't told him?" Balthazar asks. I look down at the ground, shaking my head.

"Told me what?" Dean asks.

"Don't," Balthazar warns.

I flinch, backing up. I feel the panic rise like bubbling lava in a volcano. I shake my head, taking a couple more steps backwards.

"D-don't touch me," I stutter.

"Cass?" Dean asks, sounding completely worried.

I sink down to the floor, back against the wall. I cover my ears as I squeeze my eyes tightly shut. Dean keeps calling out to me, but it's like I'm underwater.

"Make it stop!" I cry out.

A hand gently rests on my shoulder. I flinch at the gesture, but it stays. It squeezes my shoulder softly, so I hesitantly open my eyes. Dean is there, crouching down in front of me. His face shows pure worry, hurt, and fear.

"He's gone, Cass," Dean whispers. I whimper at the thought of him even be near me. Without thinking, I wrap my arms around him tightly. He stumbles a bit before righting himself. "Let's go back to our dorm."

"Our?" I ask, voice scratchy. Dean pulls me onto my feet. I lean my body on his side as he walks us to our dorm.

"Yeah, I didn't realize we shared until earlier," Dean admits. We enter the room and I sit on the couch.

"Do we have some food?" I ask softly.

Dean checks. "No," he sighs.

"Can you go get some? I have to talk to Gabe, alone."

He sighs. "I'll be back," he tells me. Then he leaves.
