3rd POV
Four children walked through the thick brush of the forest of the human Zoo. They were all left alone, quarantined due to a sickness their caregivers called "Tos Roja" or "the red cough" Now, all they had was each other, but they were fine with that. They wouldn't let their shared sickness bring them down to the lowest of lowes, besides. They had the diamonds.
The gems of the human zoo don't exactly know how it happened, but one faithful day the children had escaped containment and accidentally waddled right into the room of Pink diamond, the head of the human zoo. At the time Pink was with her fellow diamonds, even white was there.
The human children got into her room and were met face to face with the gem matriarchs. Pink could only smile and giggle at how cute they were, while Blue gave them a smile as well. White kept her usual creepy smile while yellow gave the humans a look of utter confusion. White picked up the largest one with two fingers, gently placing him in her palm. The giant woman began to coo at the small human, amused at his giggles of delight.
The other Diamonds would have been surprised at the sight if they themselves weren't busy with their own humans. Pink made hers laugh at her goofy dance, Blue sung for hers while Yellow just swung hers around, the child seemed to enjoy it. But all good things must come to an end and White ordered for them to be taken back to the zoo, but placed in their own area where they'd be taken care of by a pearl.
Later on the children were discovered to have the fatal disease. This saddened the diamonds, so before Pink went back to earth to start overseeing the planet again, she made replicas of her and her fellow diamonds gems for the children. She embedded the rocks into the vital areas of the children, as a power source for them. The children became stronger and started to look like the diamond who's gem shard they had within them.
The diamonds would later adopt the one they felt belonged to them. All was right, until the rebellion began. When lies were told and children were abandoned. But life was never on their side, was it?
Now here they are, four teens, tears leaking from the eyes of the youngest. He was running in circles, picking up every shard he could. She can't be gone, she can't be. The boy was stopped by a hand being placed on his shoulder. He turned to look at his companion.
One look from those eyes told the boy the truth he already knew. Not even seconds went by before the boy broke down. His crys could be heard for miles. The others joined him in sorrow, though one of them could only growl in anger.
They stood with their mothers, hands directed towards what was supposed to be their Homeworld. Without a second thought they corrupted every gem on the planet, having only one thought in their heads. May every crystal gem burn in the depths of Hell.
Four children walked through the cold halls of the human Zoo, feeling nothing but emptiness.
All was now right because the rebellion was finally over...or was it? Life goes on, people come and go, even those with the power of a god.
Though they haven't been abandoned, they have been abandoned. But life was never on their side, was it?
