To everyone who has opened this novel and decided to give it a shot, I cannot thank you enough.

This story is something I've worked on for almost two years. It is the product of procrastination, drinking my body weight in coffee (several times over) and crying over plot twists that made my hands shake as I typed them down.

So, thank you for taking this journey with me. I appreciate you more than you will ever know.

Kepler-168F isn't your traditional dystopian science fiction novel. This story will make you cry tears of frustration. You will find yourself screaming at your screen at times, lecturing my character about why they should think for once in their lives.

This novel is part of the Etta Parker Chronicles

To the bin kids, for always believing in me.

To Norm, who saw potential in me.

To you, for giving this book a chance.

This book contains:

A cult.

Two siblings on opposite sides of a war.

An arranged marriage between two of Earth's most dangerous weapons.

An alliance forged in blood.

A nation trapped in a war they won't win.

Kepler-168F is loosely inspired by Kepler-186f, a potentially habitable planet that is approximately 490 light-years from Earth. I also drew inspiration from previous nuclear warfare and cult activity across the globe. Please be aware that whilst this is the case, the plot, concept and characters within Kepler-168F are mine. Please do not steal them!

Please note that I have renamed some of the characters in this series. Elijah Parker was previously Ellis Parker. Some of the comments in this novel may reflect that. Hopefully it's not too confusing!

I have tried to make Kepler-168F as scientifically accurate as possible. That said, I am by no means an expert. If you see anything that is scientifically inaccurate / verging on the realm of impossibility, please let me know.

Do not even think of plagiarising this work. I have poured my heart and soul into this story and if I catch anyone plagiarising this, I will not hesitate to make your life living hell. Don't test me.
