The Broken Path and Weeping Tree

I am walking along a path of old stone and brick.

A feeling in my gut is telling me I am very homesick.
I watch the world watch me as I walk this path alone.
I wait patiently for someone to notice the girl who is always alone and forgotten.

This path I walk is made of old brick and cracked stone.
The path is quiet for, it's the only place I feel safe and alone. I walk away from the crowds. I flee from my problems, for I am the boy who is never alone.

We are walking and are heading to the same place of peace.
We look at each other, and our heartbeats increase.
We part from the path and sit under the weeping tree that sits low and alone.
We sit and are quiet, for we listen to nature's sweet songs.

He is the only one who notices me.

I am free sitting here under the weeping tree with the girl who knows how it feels to be alone, for it is only she.
We leave the weeping tree and start back on the path of broken brick and old stone. We complete each other's needs and wants. We can be alone together under the lone, quiet, and low weeping tree.
