~A few days later~

Prince Chin mae was in an audience with Yoo hwa about his arranged marriage with a Princess by his Majesty and his devised plan on how to escape it.
They stood out, the cool night breeze was blowing gently towards them as their silk garments melode with it.
His Majesty and the General who were returning from the General's residence happened to catch his few last words and those few last words could have stopped anyone in their tracks.

"Your Majesty" they both said being concious of his and the General's presence.

"Your Majesty....your Highness" the General bowed.

"Go on younger brother, what were you suggesting?" His Majesty beseeched.

"Your Majesty must have misheard...It must have been from the sound of the wind" he replied with a smile.

"I see..."
"But I am sure my lady doesn't entertain the thought since she wants to marry you off too as soon as possible"

"Your Majesty is right" she said nodding her head slowly in confirmation.

"But Noona...."

"I am sure you have noticed the Royal family needs stronger alliances and we have been posponing the issue for quiet a while" she adds cutting in.

"His Majesty and the General are yet to be occupied" he retorted.

"But they have upheld their first responsibility"

"Your Highness do you really plan on remaining single?" the General rhetorically asked.

Chin mae looked slowing from the General to Yoo hwa and now his Majesty.

"But Your Majesty can it not be anyone else besides that Princess?"

" 'That Princess'?" His Majesty questioned his use of words.

"Forgive me your Majesty since she was chosen by your Royal grace but.."

"Tsk Tsk Tsk but younger brother seems to be quiet bold"

"About..."

"To ask for a lady's hand in front of her husband"

"Ahhh ehmm your Majesty misunderstands"

"You ask of my lady to marry three brothers in one life time?"
The General and Yoo hwa giggled silently exchanging looks leaving Chin mae in a tight position with no one to his aid.

"The thing is..."
"General!"
He moved swiftly to the General's side in search for a quick escape.
"The young royalty and her Highness should be missing your presence I will lead the way"
"You shouldn't stay out this late"

"But.. I..."
The General was about to object but he was practically dragged down the hall way by the impatient Goguryeo Prince.

The King and Queen turned with a smile to each other but her Majesty spoke first inquiring from him.

"Does your Majesty really plan to arrange his marriage with that haughty Princess?"

His Majesty overlooked her use of words with a smile of acheknowlegment and he replied.
"No, I intend to push him to make him change his mind"

"Hahhh!" She sighed slowly.

"But I don't think we need to worry about him anymore because the last time we went to see the General's Royal child I saw something flicker in his eyes as he held the baby in his arms"
Yoo hwa nods in understanding and relief as they turned to stare out at the darkness.
"My Queen" he said breaking the silence.

"Ehmmm?"

"I have something for your Majesty"

"What..."

"Let's go"

***********

They went alone with just the Commander to the new storage library in the palace, there was a hidden door which led to a small stair case of a rooftop.
His Majesty built it for nights like this when everything is Generally quiet.
They sat close to eachother with folded legs staring up the night sky and after a long silence....

"Would your Majesty( the King) take full responsibility if I end up coming here everyday?"

"Responsibility for?"

"For the irresponsiblilty of not managing our nation as I should and being neglecful of my duties"

"Then should we be irresponsible together?" he asked smiling down at her.
"Do you like it that much here?"

"A place where your constant thoughts and all your problems seem to vanish, it seems to be here"

"It is for this same reason I built it and it is a token of apology to you"

"Apology?"

"Do you remember?"
"When I convinced you to take the Crown, I promised not to let you take on the burden of the throne, I promised to let you live as Yoo hwa, Chae min and Sa wol"
"like the Gem you were I also wanted you to continue living as such but now that everyone has realised that Gem's value they expect too much from it and that's your burden my Queen"
"But it is never late, would you like to leave everything to me, make your visits outside the palace and the field like you used to?" He with all sincerity asked.

"Your Majesty"
She lifted her head to hold his gaze.
"The reason I had Chae min's identity or any other identity was to support your Majesty in anyway and everyway I could and my Crown fulfills that aim more"
"As long as it is for this same reason I won't feel any burden and your Majesty has kept your promise to me for quiet a while and it is enough to fulfill it"

"Yoo hwa"

"I would like to also thank your Majesty for bearing with me through these years...she smiled...I have caused you alot of worry"

"I would like to thank my lady too....not just for bringing care to my children and nation and for staying by my side through all the rough and smooth edges of life but just for being right here with me"

"Your Majesty"

He lifted his hand to untie her veil and it fell to her thighs.

"I am sorry that I don't say it everyday to you but I love you a bundle much Yoo hwa"
"To the amount of all the drops contained in the sea and the number of stars in the sky"
"You are my life line"
A tear sat on the bridge of her eye lids as she mentained eye contact.

"You are my life line too, Baek ah"
"I love you too and I love you more everyday"
She confesses closing the gap in between them.
