Chapter 9: It Takes a King & Queen

*Serena's POV

"Ash?" I asked

"Yeah Serena?" He asked back

"C-Can you... help me? I know you would rather go to school or hang out your friends, but i'm kind of nervous about this" I explained and he blinked at me

"Sorry I asked, I-" I was about to say but he put his hand over my mouth

"Theres no problem Serena! I'd love to help you!" He said

"Really!" I replied excitingly 

"Of course! Im happy you help you whenever Serena, thats my number one priority. If you ever need me, just ask!" He explained and I hugged him tightly

"Well first we need to find the Professor" I said

"I know where we can find him" Ash replied with a big smile

We held hands and then Ash led me to where we could find the professor. We walked for a bit until we made it to the school, and we walked in to the classroom to see Ash's Alolan friends and the Professor talking about something

"Hey guys" Ash said and they turned around 

"Oh hey you guys!" Mallow replied excitingly 

"Just the two I wanted to see. I hope your ready for today Serena" Professor Kukui said

"I'm all ready to go, is it alright if Ash comes along?" I asked

"That would be absolutely perfect, in fact i'm sure it would help our chances" Kukui replied

"That's right, the people your going to need to talk to already know who Ash is" Kiawe agreed 

"Im sure they'd be happy to see him again" Lillie added

"Well aren't you the popular one?" I asked Ash

"Ash is known all around the island" Lana said

"That's right, he's somewhat of celebrity" Mallow added

"I wouldn't really say that" Ash replied as he scratched the back of his head

"Don't be so humble Ash, theres nothing wrong with admitting how popular you are" I said

"Isn't that coming from the Kalos Queen?" Ash then asked and I started to blush

"I-I guess your right" I answered

"Alright then, let's head over to where we need to be" Kukui said

"Right" Me & Ash agreed

We then began to follow Kukui out of the school and we began to make our way to wherever we were going

"So where are we going?" I decided to ask

"We're gonna meet up with the trial captains first so that we can get the message out to the public" Kukui said

"That sounds like a good idea, it sure will be an effective way of letting everyone know" Ash replied

"Considering they show the Kalos Showcases here in Alola, and they seem to be quite popular, i'm sure we shouldn't have any problem getting some showcases started" I said

"Thats right. The only hard part will be getting an area set up for the first one and maybe the press conference" Kukui replied

"Press conference... right" I agreed

"Something wrong Serena?" Ash asked

"I-I just don't do that well in front of all the press" I answered
