Harry's Pov-:
"No mum, I swear to God I haven't done anything illegal or made Jessica do all the house work." I laugh quietly as my mother anxiously throws me question after question.
Jessica walks by with the broom, smoothly taking the phone out of my grasp and holding it to her ear. "He's lying about that last part." She giggles before throwing the black iPhone back to me.
I roll my eyes as my mum scolds me from the other side of the line.
"Really Jess?!" I whisper with a pout at the snickering girl sweeping the kitchen floor.
I sigh before silencing my mother on the line. "Yeah, yeah i'll do the dishes and i'll consider the laundry part. Don't fret, we're doing just fine. I've got to go, I think Jessica burnt our dinner." I laugh before exchanging goodbyes, I love you's and ending the call to a small chuckle from my mum.
I turn around to meet Jessica standing right behind me. "I did not burn anything!" She huffs crossing her arms over her chest.
"Oh yeah, we ordered in. My bad." I smirk as I slip the phone back into the pocket of my jeans.
She glares at me before continuing to round up the dust on the kitchen floor. I lean against the kitchen island and sigh.
"I want brownies; do you know how to make them?" I ask her hopefully. She smirks as she empties the dustpan into the trash bin. "That I do Mr Styles, but I am quite afraid I will burn them like I burned our non existent dinner a few minutes ago."
She leans the broom beside the counter and washes her hands. I walk up behind her and wrap my arms around her waist, resting my chin on her shoulder.
"Come on love, I was just kidding, your food is amazing."
"I don't trust myself around food anymore, i'm sorry." She laughs before trying to break out of my hold. I smirk against her warm skin. "Well in that case what will we eat for the next few days?" I ask with a small laugh.
"Guess we won't." She shrugs. My smirk widens. "Oh contraire love, you won't but I surely will." I bite at her neck teasingly.
Her breathing deepens and her hands fall limp over mine on her waist. I chuckle quietly, letting go of her. "Out of all things, brownies? We haven't even had dinner yet. What the actual hell brought about that craving?" She asks with a nervous laugh before leaning with her back against the sink.
"I like chocolate." I smile. "A lot" I add. She shakes her head with a small smile and opens a cabinet, grabbing a bowl.
"Okay." She rolls her eyes. "Only because I like chocolate too, a lot."
The doorbell rings and I move to grab my wallet. Jessica digs into her pocket and flings a twenty at me. I laugh. "Where the fuck did that come from?"
"I'm just one step ahead of you Harold." She smirks before pulling out more ingredients for the brownies.
"I'm not using it!" I call out as I head towards the door.
I open the door to reveal a teenage boy, obnoxiously chewing on his gum and holding out the bag of take out.
"Yes you are." Jessica comes up behind me, stuffing the twenty dollar bill back into my hand.
"It's on me for the pretty lady." The boy winks as Jessica walks away. Completely oblivious, as always.
"On the house my ass." I grumble and hand the boy the twenty and an extra five, grabbing the paper bag out of his hand. "Go buy yourself a girlfriend, preferably your age." I huff and shut the door.
