The white lilies hung from the ceiling as the green leaves peeped out beside it, complimenting the white walls. The sheer cloth acted as an arch as it provided a background for the couple standing in front of it.

Their brown irises gazing into the other with an intensity and love that gave Kaitlyn chills.

The honey mustard woman in her all white sleeveless gown that reminded Kait of the weddings she saw on the television screen was a beauty to all.

With the microphone placed in front of her lips, she poured her heart out to the man beside her. His eyes welling with tears as her words spoke to each ounce of him.

Kait's heart swelled.

The longing for a love that resembled the ones she'd been a witness to over the years grew within her.

"I now pronounce you husband and wife."

The words escaped the pastor's lips causing the couple to stare into each other's eyes. It was as if they were lost in their mind where their souls met and connected on a deeper level than the onlookers could even phantom.

As their lips pressed against each other, the energy of the puzzle finally being put together emanated throughout the room. They were a match made.

The sides of Kait's lips rose as her fingers quickly wiped away the tear that mischievously rolled down her cheek.

The longing for that to be her one day burning inside her. She hoped that one day she would walk down the aisle with the man God had prepared for her but it was hard to stay positive at times.

When her mind ate at her like a disease. Slowly consuming each thought with the memories of what could have been and what could be.

The thoughts she tried so hard to push away because in reality, she thought she was ready for marriage, ready to date or even to open up to someone. But the truth is, it was yet to happen.

Her future husband was yet to step into her life and sweep her off her feet. Give her butterflies and make her feel things or go through emotions she'd never felt with anyone else before.

It made her question if she would be single forever?

If love would ever come knocking on her door?

What made it even harder was working at weddings.

Being a witness to love and the couples professing their love to each other when deep within she longed for that for herself.

It was like a toddler strapped to a chair with a bowl of his favorite ice cream in front of him and he couldn't get it.

Her broken heart of desperation bled. For a lover to seek out the unread pages of her that no one dared to read. That no man had ever dared to open and closely examine.

"Keep staring and you might end up in the dress."

The voice occupied the space beside her. Her eyes rolled as she looked at the brunette that always wore a full face of makeup.

At times it felt like she hid a part of her story with every ounce of foundation she added to her face. But when Kaitlyn got to know her, a makeup wipe revealed to her all the hidden parts of the walnut toned woman that stood before her.

She was a lioness that had yet to know her strength. Bold but yet cowardly, wise but yet afraid. She exuded strength but then confusion plagued her. With each bat of her eyelids, with each flip of her hair, she played the role of a woman that had it all together but as you got close enough, you realized she didn't. She was building, restoring, recovering from a life that once sucked the beauty out of her.
