Richard " Richie " Tozier is the comedian of the Loser's Club and best friends with Bill Denbrough , Eddie Kaspbrak , Stan Uris , Ben Hanscom , Beverly Marsh , and Mike Hanlon . He often teases the other Losers , preferably Eddie with dirty jokes and mutual banter . Although Richie misbehaved a lot in school , he received good grades besides the grades in behavior .

Alongside his friends , Richie defeats IT despite his fear of clowns and going missing . Now , he just wants to try and survive high school and ignore these feelings he's beginning to develop for one of his best friends . He doesn't want to think about it because he's still afraid . He's still a little boy whom his parents neglect so he turned to being loud and telling jokes just to get people to notice him . He'll never dare admit that he's often cried himself to sleep at night , haunted by nightmares of IT . Richie was perfectly fine and didn't need help . . . right ?
