"Thank you guys so much," I say before closing the door behind the movers.
Billie let me have full control over the new furniture selection and I finally settled on some pieces I liked. I convinced her to give the old stuff to charity and the movers just took the last of it away.
"I gotta admit. This looks dope baby," she smirks.
"I told you I knew what I was doing. It's perfect. A nice blend of me and you."
She grabs me by the waist from behind placing soft kisses on my neck. "Should we break the couch in now?"
"No," I laugh. "You have a shoot soon crazy."
"It won't take long. I promise," she mumbles into my neck before biting me gently. I shut my eyes momentarily and consider letting her have her way.
"Nope. Don't think so babe," I pull away to face her.
"You are so mean," she pouts. "Oh by the way. My manager wants to have a meeting with us too."
"Us? Why me?"
"I'm not sure honestly. Maybe to go over some rules and shit before the tour since you're coming on the first half," she shrugs.
I just nod and try to keep my thoughts from going everywhere. I haven't met Billie's manager or anyone from her team really. I don't want them thinking I'm going to mess up her career or anything.
"Ready to head out," Billie asks pulling me out of my thoughts.
"Yeah sure."
We take a 40 minute drive to some studio and Billie is immediately pulled away to hair and makeup. I walk over to the table full of food and pile some fruit on a plate.
"Alissa right?"
I turn to face a skinny white guy with brown hair. He looks about 35 and like he was a total goofball in his younger days.
"Y-Yes," I stammer.
"I'm John. Billie's manager. It's nice to finally meet you," he smiles and shakes my hand.
"Same. Uh Billie said you wanted to talk to me about something?"
"Yeah, actually could you come with me? It won't take long," he turns not waiting for an answer.
"Shouldn't we wait for Billie?"
"Oh no. I'll fill her in later," he smiles trying to reassure me.
I place my fruit down and follow him into an office where we both sit awkwardly.
"Alissa we are all very happy that Billie has someone she cares about. However, we want your relationship to not be so public. Your profile is already private so we don't really have to worry about that, but as you know Billie is pretty hard to tame. We are going to need your help getting her to see the benefits of keeping your relationship lowkey. You get me?"
