sad poems

people wonder why i write so many sad poems

perhaps its a reflection of my life at home

not at all, that couldn't be further from the truth

all is loving and caring and family, under my roof

the reason the sad poems come so easy

is actually easy to explain

there may be a lot of joy in this world

but there seems to be so much more pain

we don't have the same emotional blasts when happy

that we do when times are bad

and when you look at the long and short of it

that is really, really, kind of sad

so thats the simple reason, i write the way i do

its no reflection of me, but perhaps

a reflection of you
