The last one
In my pillow case
Maybe I won't go hungry tonight.
She will though.
She can have it.
And now none
Nothing left
Empty
Like my parents
They had it
They lost it.
We had it
They lost it.
And now I'm hungry
Tomorrow maybe
I can walk past the bakery
And grab a few stale slices
Thrown out to the greedy grey birds
Maybe the fruit market
Won't notice an apple gone
And maybe I won't fall asleep guilty
Because I couldn't give her
Enough
