this is a review of the 2014 korean version. the kversion is a remake of the original taiwanese version which aired in 2008. i haven't actually watched the taiwanese version and i have read a lot of comments which say the taiwanese is better but for me, personally, i don't think i'll ever watch the tversion because this korean version has a very special place in my heart.

the cast for this drama is complete gold

jang hyuk as lee gun

can i just say that he might not be the usual 'cute flower boy' type of actor (he is in his 40s after all) but he deserves the same, if not more praise for his skills

behold the baby faced beauty who just never seems to age. her versatility (ref: i remember you, the last empress, go back couple) and ability to just put herself into her character's shoes never fails to amaze me.

truly an underappreciated gem of the korean industry.

choi jin hyuk  as daniel

another actor who deserves all the respect and attention he gets! even though he's the second lead in this drama, he'll make you want to root for him no matter how hard you ship the main leads
