You are a test subject onboard the Ishimura when it is attacked by undead things kniwn as Necromorphs. Somehow partially immune to the Necromorph virus and having the ability to telepathically communicate with them, they decide to spare your life
As you and the Necromorphs walked through the ship, you heard something on the comms and listened closely using a computer panel that was still somehow in working condition.
"Ishimura this is the Kellion en route. We received your distress call. Ishimura, do you copy?", the voice asked. You smirked and looked at Natalie
"What's your plan?", she asked and you whispered it to her. She would growl and stab a nearby dead body while you pretended to be scared and under attack in the hopes the Kellion would leave. You activated the comms to the Kellion
"Kellion this is the Ishimura. We've been overrun!! Turn back now! Whatever it is, it's killing the staff quicker than we can kill it! Go now!", you shouted.
"Repeat? You were breaking up", the comms said. You made a motion to Natalie and she nodded
"Turn back. There's something and it- GAH!", you shouted as Natalie began stabbing the corpse
"It's killing us! Turn back now-", you replied before letting out a fearful scream and cutting off the comms. You then turned to Natalie and the two of you laughed.
"Let's hope that was convincing", she said and you shrugged.
"If it wasn't then we should be able to deal with them easy", you replied. Just then you heard the voice again
"Signal cut off. Increase speed, let's get in there and clear out whatever it was that attacked them", the voice said and you groaned
"FUCKING UNBELIEVABLE!!", you shouted catching the attention of another female Slasher.

"Hey Nat, why isn't that human dead?", she asked Natalie
"Telepathic communication and apparently he's partially immune to the virus. Don't worry Bec, he's an ok guy", Natalie replied. The Slasher named Bec looked at you carefully.
"Just keep a close watch on him. He's a human, and they kill us for fun", she said warily.
"There's a difference between killing for fun and killing to survive", you replied without even looking at her, instead paying attention to the Infector on your back.
"He heard me?", Bec asked Natalie
"Duh, telepathic communication. She literally said it a few seconds ago", you replied
"I like him", Natalie whispered to Bec causing her to gasp.
"Do not let the others hear you say that! Trust me, a few Leapers around here hate humans with a passion and they'll probably kill this guy, given the chance!", Bec warned and a fat Necromorph that you'd heard the others call a Pregnant walked up.
