Alright, 'troopers, in the past we've done CyberPunk, SteamPunk, TeslaPunk, GreenPunk, NanoPunk (and even some others)—well now here's BioPunk. What's in the BioPunk genome that makes it a different beast from, say, NanoPunk?

Here's what the fine folks over at the Ooorah Archives came up with:

BioPunk focuses on biotechnology—technology that alters the genetics of an organism. Broadly, this can even refer to selective breeding, but for the purposes of BioPunk fiction, it tends to refer to things like bioengineering, or biomods, which are programmed to enhance or alter the abilities of an individual.

NanoPunk, while similar, applies nanotechnology, which often refers to a hivemind of pre-programmed nanites working from within the body to enhance or alter one's abilities.

Get the difference? Eh, we're sure you'll figure it out... Ooorah!
