Nick'a POV
——————

We stood in the briefing room waiting for the captains to arrive, this Captain is usually a few minutes late, but we can't blame him, he always has a lot on his plate. He walked in the room

"Sorry for being late Spartans" he quickly apologized as we snapped to attention

"At ease soldiers, you have a mission, you are going undercover at the high school. We suspect there are Insurrectionists in contact with them, we want you to collect data, and report to us, is that under stood" he said

"Yes sir" we all said

"You're all going to go with the last name Lennox, a nice family has taken you under their wing, you are to act as civilians when out in public" the Capitan said

"are there any questions?"

"Yes sir" I said and took a step forward

"Sir, we've never been civilians, why choose us out of every soldier here" I asked and stepped back

"You may be Spartans, but your still kids, you're the right age to be a Freshman In high school"  The Captain said and looked upon everyone locking eyes with them before continuing,
"Yes you've never been civilians, it's going to be hard getting into the civilian life, but if I am correct, Spartans are trained to adapt" the Captain said

"A Marine will take you to the place you're going to be staying, you'll ride a bus to and from school, you'll get the rest of that information when you meet your 'parents', understood?" He said paused as we nodded

"Good, dismissed" he said and we gave a final salute and left

-in the gym-

"seriously?! More school!? I thought we did everything we needed" Kyle complained as he bench pressed

"Stop complaining, so long as we are all put in the same classes, we will be fine" Jenna said from the speed ball

"Don't get your hopes up, we never know what will happen, I just don't know how we're going to act like civilians, were Spartans, we've never been civilians" I said from the treadmill

"Agreed" Jenna said and Kyle put the weight down and groaned covering his face with his hands

"What are we going to dooooooo" he said hands still over his face

"What do we need to wear. what do we HAVE to wear? All we have are our uniforms, our PT clothes, and armor" Kyle said and sat up

"I say, bring everything, minus the armor, undersuits should be fine, just not to wear at the school" I said and slowed the treadmill down to a brisk walking pace then a complete stop. I stepped off of it and walked to them,

"Clean up guys we need to get to packing" I said and headed toward the showers, I turned on the water and waited for a second while it warmed up, I stripped and got in quickly washing my hair and body rinsed them and hopped out drying off and slipping into clean PT clothing, Kyle just hopped out as I went to the sinks and combed my short blonde hair, I walked out and went to the barber, my hair may still be in regulation but it's getting to long for my liking.

I walked into the barber and sat down in a chair as the marine cane and cut it back to its normal length, I paid the barber and went on my way.

I finally made if to Legend teams shared quarters and walked in, Kyle was shuffling through stuff, and Jenna was putting her hair up in a nice bun. I grabbed my ruck and started packing my essentials, I got out of the PT clothes and into my undersuit putting a pair of shorts over it so I didn't 'freak out' the other marines.

Gear packed and everything ready to go Jenna comes the captain

"Captain, B930 here, were ready for departure permission to leave" she said

"Granted, Legend team, you'll be there for 4 years to not make anyone suspicious, Good lock Spartans, Captain Noah out" he said and the comms went to static.

"Hold up, almost forgot one thing, I'll be back" I said and ran to the med bay to get my smoothers,

"I need a years supply of smoothers" I said to the nurse there, he gave me a weird look but put them into boxes and handed them to me

"Thanks" I said and walked off holding 2 boxes full of small injections

Back at the room I managed to find enough room in my Ruck to place the boxes. Lifting the bag over my shoulders I walked off to the flight deck where the rest of my team stood

"Forgot your smoothers?" Kyle asked and I nodded and stepped into the pelican, we all sat down and put our seatbelts around us. I felt the pelican lift off the ground and I sighed internally
'How are we going to fit in' I thought as I stared at the ground tapping my foot slightly uneasy

"When was the last time you took your smoothers?" Kyle asked in a hushed tone, to him it may have looked like I was getting impatient and loosing control

"10 hours ago, I'm fine, but thanks for the concern" I said and looked up giving off a small rare smile

"Ok just wanted to make sure, you seemed like you were about to loose it" he said

"I know when I need to take it, I have an alarm set for it" I said and for the rest of the flight we were quiet, everything we wanted to talk about was Classified or we didn't know enough about it to say much.

After an hour we hit the atmosphere, this is the most dangerous part of the journey.

The walls of the pelican danced with red and orange as the fire spread around the nose, the only warning light was because the heat was so intense, nothing more than a warm bumpy ride. The walls slowly faded back to its neutral gray as we headed toward the surface.

With a rather soft thump the pelican hit ground. We unbuckled and stood up stretching slightly as the aft door started to lower, when it was fully down we saw a man, a woman, and two kids, both looked to be young girls clinging to their parents, or what I assumed were their parents.
