A single ray of light shone brightly through the cracked walls in his house. Naruto grudgingly rose to up and brought his body to the nearby shelf. Inside, he pulled out a small box with a white square and a red cross in the middle. The box groaned as its regularly used rusty hinges opened up. It had bloody tissues, a half empty ointment bottle, scrappy, reused bandages and a blunt sewing needle that had a fine piece of thread attached to the end. Naruto carried the box to the bathroom and placed it in the sink as he started taking off his clothes. After his shower, he began to dress his wound quickly but carefully, wincing every few times that he accidentally pressed to hard on an open wound. Glancing to his clock, 6 am, he still had several hours till he had to go to school. He gathered up his belongings and threw on a dark tank top and black faded jeans as he jumped off his balcony, leaping over the many houses. His favourite spot came in sight. The hokage faces. From there you could see the entire village. Naruto landed silently on the 4th hokage's head and dropped his bag as he catiously walked to the edge, peering down at the houses below. From there, questions started filling his head. "What happens if I were to fall?""or jump?""would anyone care?""would anyone notice?". He slowly lifted up one foot and let it hover wearily over, did his last life really have no meaning whatsoever? Did his existence not matter? He brought back his foot and stood back on the ground with both feet planted firmly. One day, one day I'll be free. He took one more glance at the beautiful scenery below, and bounded away into the morning light.
