Everyone had already left their side of the hot-springs except for you and Adrian, separated between a wall, "Are you sure you'll be alright, (Y/N)?" Lizzy asked

"Hm? Oh, yes I'm quite alright, I'll meet up with you later." You reassured

"Mmm, alright if you say so.." Lizzy said, "Make sure not to stay in too long alright?" She advised, worried for her friend's health

"Alright, thank you, Lizzy." You said with a smile, and with that you sighed, pressing your back up against the wall that divided the men's side from the woman's. "Oh Adrian.." you said to yourself unaware he was on the other side

"Yes my love?" He asked

"Ah-! um.. I didn't know you were still there.." you said a little embarrassed, glad that he spoke up when he did, "I just..." you started

"You want me to come over there? Heheh~" he teased

"Wha- n-no...! Adrian..." you spoke, flustered

"What is it my love? Something has seemed to be bothering you for a while." He asked, looking up at the starry night sky

"Your right.. there has been a few things on my mind lately.." you said as you turned around and rested your head against the dividing wall

"Go on." The mortician replied as he waited patiently for an answer.

"You say that- alot.. you've said it ever since I can remember.. I am just confused is all- for the longest time I've wondered- what you were to me, Adrian." You started as your chest felt heavier. "You're not my father, uncle, brother or cousin.. you're.. something so much more to me- that I cannot understand nor comprehend, I've been thinking about it- for years now.."

You finished as Adrian let out a content hum. You could hear him getting out of the water, which somewhat brought you back to your senses of awareness. "Come to the room once your done, we can talk there, alright love?" He asked

"Right.." you said soon getting out of the water, the servants seemed to have taken your clothes to wash and all that was given to you was a light almost silk like robe, and you put it on before entering the room that was reserved for the both of you just for this occasion. When you entered he wasn't there, you're heart sunk a little to see the room dark and empty. You approached the bed, gently running your fingers along the covers, a familiar voice seemed to pull you from your thoughts.

"My, don't you look lovely." The silver haired reaper complimented as he entered, the male wore a silken robe as well, but it was tied loosely, exposing his bare chest. You whipped around,

"A-Adrian-." You spoke as you approached him, sensing his soft gaze under his shaggy bangs you gently rearranged them, exposing his phosphorescent green hues that light illuminated his face in the dimly lit room.

"Yes? My flower?" He asked with a slight curl of his lips, reaching his hand to the left side of your face, fixing your hair to expose your violet one. His hand reached to the back of your head as he undid your bun, unwinding it gently with his fingers, undoing the braid with ease, letting the hair slip from his fingers. Your mismatched hues watched him as best as you could from where you standing, "I've always liked it when you let your hair down, and we're among family, there's no need to cover it up here." He said referring your oddly colored eye as he placed his hand on your cheek

"R-right, force of habit I suppose" you said cheeks slightly flushed as you turned your head away from him only for it to be drawn back to him, a saddened gaze made your heart drop and you instinctively placed your hands on the side of his cheeks, standing closer to him "Adrian I-" as soon as you realized what you did, flustered you went to take a step back, and felt a hand over yours you looked up at him,

" Hehehe~ Flustered are we my little flower?" The mortician asked.

"A-Adrian this isn't funny!" You said pulling your hand away when he stopped it, grabbing you by the wrist, his gaze changed- almost like he was insulted,

"Never have I thought any of this was a joke, (Y/N)" he spoke, closing the distance between you and the wall. This wasn't like him, this serious demeanor. Before you even realized your back was to the wall. You weren't afraid, you slowly were able to understand. Your gaze locked with his as your lips parted, not even to look as he ran his finger through your hair, taking a lock of it as the distance between you closed.

It felt- natural, what was happening. You failed to flinch when he placed his hand besides you on the wall, eyes fluttering shut when only a few inches of space kept your lips apart from his. However- they never met, after a few seconds you opened your eyes, only to be met with what you expected before, your eyes widened at the surprise, a slight inhale as your eyes soon grew heavy and fluttered shut as this new feeling scattered itself around you. As the kiss lingered your feelings poured into one another. Finally able to understand not only your heart, but his, all those years, watching you grow up, oblivious to the reality around you.. created a whole new agony for him. Realizing this you moved your hand to his cheek as you both parted. "Adrien..."
