i dream about all the things
i could live without;

i see, oh i see
fear from my own self
no goldfoils in the skies
emotionless eyes
and unexplained goodbyes

maybe there's a whole other world
outside the pain
but without the negative stomps
what would one gain?

so i only dream about the things
i could live without
but damned would i be
if i willed them to disappear

for it would only turn the positive
into colorless silhouettes
like ground without rain
and the moon without the marks of the crates
