Chapter 103

(__) POV

"WELCOME!!!!!!!"
After arriving in the gates we were taken up where a feast was planned for us. Beforehand they offered me a change of clothes which I gladly accepted. I was getting tired of this bikini top. I wore an aqua blue dress with the sides exposed and with laces. It was strapless with a small diamond-shaped hole in the middle of my chest. The dress had a large white flower and small diamond embroidery all along it. I also had two pearl necklaces one longer than the other and two pearl bracelets. Two large strands of my hair were strand behind and I had pearl decorations were in it. (Similar time dress below but with the changes, I added.)

Luffy and Ace were eating away while Zoro was drinking sake as usual. I sat next to Zoro as one of the monkey Minks poured me a glass of his wine.
"Thank you so much," I said and then two of the Minks nearby rubbed there heads to my cheeks. I looked over at Zoro and saw he was in the same situation but he was more annoyed by it.
"Go away you fools!!! Don't press yourselves against me!!" Zoro yelled pushing them away. When the Minks stopped rubbing their cheeks with mine I moved closer to Zoro and hit him on the head.
"Why are you hitting me!?" He asked.
"Don't be so rude to them it's their custom." I lectured. I picked up one of the smaller Minks and held them close to my chest.
"What a pretty lesser Mink." One of them said.
"Thank you."
"I wanna play with you."
"Let me give you love bites."
"Let me lick you!"
"Wait a minute. That's a bit much." I said moving away a little as they all crowded me. Out of nowhere, they all pounced on me licking and biting.
"Ahhhhh!!!
"Oi, get away from here!!!" Zoro yelled pushing the Minks away from me. When he was finally able to reach me from under the pile of Minks he pulled my wrist so I crashed into his chest. One of his hands held my wrist and the other wrapped around my waist. I buried my head in his chest so he couldn't see my blushing face.
"Please overlook these cultural differences. Minkship is a friendly gesture to us." Wanda explained.
"I-It's alright." I stuttered. "Umm, Zoro, aren't you gonna go back to drinking?"
"Yeah. Old monkey man pour me another cup."
"You're so rude," I said giggling. He then sat down on the floor and placed me in his lap. "Zoro this is embarrassing."
"It's the only way to keep them away. You're too nice to push them away."
"N-NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!" Someone screamed from outside. That sounds like Brook. A second later and Brook is laying on the floor with dust everywhere. He was in a large purple coat with blue pearls around his neck. He had a pink shirt with white circles all over it and red and yellow pants.
"(__) you're alive!!!!!" Brook cried out. He ran over to hug me but Zoro pushed his skull back with his hand. "(__) I can't believe you're alive!!! What happened!!!"
"It's a long story but what's wrong with you Brook?"
Usopp then asked him about someone named Momo and Brook quickly silenced him. Brook called us all over to talk to him in private.
"Where is Kin'emon-san now?" Brook asked.
"He should be arriving soon," Luffy answered.
"I see that's perfect. I actually wanna ask you a favor..."
"Just say it," Zoro said.
"Come closer. I want you to try not to use the world like samurai or Land of Wano in this country. Don't use them if you can. If you use those words you might offend many people and anger them or make them hate you."
"How come?" I asked.
"Well, this country was actually..."
Brook was interrupted when a group of dogs burst through the door with an evil look and drooling. Brook was so scared he starting crying. All the dogs jumped on him biting different parts of his body. We all watched from a bit as Brook called us for help but we ignored him.
"Luffy, what happened to Tra-guy by the way?" Chopper asked.
"Oh, he went to the Bear Forest."
"Bear?"
"Tra-guy went to see his friend of the Heart Pirates including Bepo in the Whale Forest.
"Hey! More importantly, what should we do about Sanji?!" Nami said.
"Like I said before, he left a note so don't you think it's gonna be alright?" Zoro said.
"Yeah, it's not like he was kidnapped," Luffy added.
"Have a heart would you," I said hitting both of them on the head.
"I'm worried because it didn't look right!!" Nami yelled.
"From what you told us it's a little confusing on what happened with you guys. What exactly happened when you left Dressrosa?" Ace asked.
"What he encountered that day off the coast of Dressrosa was..."

Nami explained to us how they were able to get away from Big Moms' ship pretty nicely and we all cheered for her.
"Nice job guys," I said clapping.
"That's super!"
"Stop it. Well, it was a big deal I guess but..." Nami said blushing.
"And how many days did it take to Zou from there?" Robin asked.
"We arrived here the next day. Seems like Zou was nearby at that time."
"That was 10 days ago," Chopper added.
"From what I could tell of the city the destruction happened a little over two weeks ago. That means you guys had nothing to do with it." I said.
"That's right," Wanda said slightly surprised. "And get 10 days ago, most of the country had been destroyed. But on that day, Nami and the others arrived here. That can only be described as a miracle. If not for their courage and Chopper's medical expertise, every single person in the Mokomo Dukedom would've been helplessly killed..."
"I know it's just happened and it still hurts so if you don't wanna talk about it, that's fine but..." Franky began.
"No, I'll tell you everything you people have the right to know everything."
"Hey!!! Everybody!!!" Someone called from outside. "Duke-sama has woken up!!!!"
At this news, all of the Mink Tribe started crying tears of joy.
"Okay! Let's go examine his condition now!" Chopper said grabbing his medical bag. He ran to the exit with a goat doctor and chipmunk nurse following behind.
"Wanda! Duke Dogstorm said he'd like to see the saviors!"
"Okay, I'll be right up!" Wanda replied. "You-teia guys will come with me."
"Yeah, but who's Dogstorm?" Luffy asked.
"He's the duke of Mokomo Dukedom. Which means he is the ruler of the country! He's been in a coma ever since the city was wiped out. So has the other one."
"The other one?!"
"Yes! This country has two rulers! King of the day- Duke Dogstorm and King of the Night-Master Cat Viper. The country of Zou has been protected by those two rulers."

As he headed to Duke Dogstorm's sleeping chambers Wanda further explained to us what happened two weeks ago. She didn't get to finish her story as Luffy being an idiot said something about Kin'emon. This earned him punches from Usopp, Nami, and Brook while the rest watched smiling. Then some dog guy with a long red beard came out of nowhere and started bowing down at us.
"The Duke is eclectic you! You can go in!! Hurry up!" He shouted for absolutely no reason.
Inside we found Chopper and the two I saw before setting up for the medical exam.
"Luffy and everybody!" Chopper said once he saw us.
"Damn he's big." Ace said. On the bed laid the biggest dog I had ever seen. He wore a large magenta coat and bandages covered his body.
"Duke-sama I'm so happy you're okay!" Wanda said crying and hugging his arm.
"Wanda. I'm sorry to make you worry." He said setting down his cup of tea. "So you people are the Straw Hats?"
"Well not all of us," I answered.
"Well, either way, you saved us in every way. Thank you very much."
"I heard my crew saved your people but I haven't gotten to hear the whole story yet," Luffy said.
"Well, you and the rest saved us too, Straw Hat Luffy."
"Us? We just got here. How could we save you?" Ace asked.
"Anyways, I bet you're strong! I mean, really strong."
Luffy said.
"What?! That's rude! Duke-sama is the mightiest warrior in the country!" Wanda said with a hint of annoyance.
"Hey, stop. That's not what you call a loser."
"You're not a loser! The enemies were surely troublesome but we had the upper hand!"
Dogstorm said nothing but instead started staring at Brook with hunger in his eyes.
"He's drooling!!!!" Brook yelled scared.
"I know how you feel! He-teia saved us too!"
"What a delicious looking savior," Dogstorm said with his tongue hanging out.
"Watch our bones you might be dinner." Ace said laughing.
"I will not!!"
"Well let's not talk about the loss. You, that straw hat looks quite good on you. I was once... Oh, I can't remember who it was! That cat..."
"Master Cat Viper," Wanda said.
" I was once traveling across the seas with that one. Shanks who is one of the Yonko now was wearing that kind of hat then."
"What?! You know Big Brother/ You know Shanks?!!" Luffy and I said at the same time.
"I got this hat from him and..." Luffy began smiling but stopped when Dogstorm suddenly knocked out sleeping. "He fell asleep!!!!"
"Who does that while talking?" Ace said.
"Like you're one to talk! You do that while eating!" I yelled hitting his head.
"It's already six o clock," Wanda said.
"It's old six! He's not a kid!" Usopp yelled.
"Hey wake up!! Tell me how you know Shanks!!!" Luffy yelled pushing his snout.
"Like I mentioned earlier the Mokomo Dukedom is governed by two rulers all the time. Duke Dogstorm is the official ruler but Master Cat Viper who guards the old sacred Whale Forest pause this is the same right."
"What does it have to do with him falling asleep?!" Usopp asked.
"They really don't like each other. When they come face-to-face, they might try to kill one another. I heard they used to be best friends. But they're both well-respected king so even if they fight, it will be an equal match. They had too many fights and they don't even want to face each other now. So one of them, from six in the morning to six in the evening with the sun and another from six in the evening to six in the morning with the moon. That's how they split their living hours."
"They hate each other that much," Franky said surprised.
"I didn't realize the doctored were sleeping too!" Usopp pointed out.
"All of the people in this fortress should be sleeping now. We've always lived with the custom of having to rulers. Even during the recent battle. The fight between Jack's group and us in Kurau City was intensifying..."
