"I KNEW HE was the killer! Where's my five bucks, Jin?" Jungkook cheered, a mischievous glint in his eyes as he stared at Jin.
Jin rolled his eyes, digging in his pocket to fetch out a five-dollar bill, slapping it into Jungkook's hand, "I can't believe you won another bet."
Jungkook smirked, doing everything in his might to annoy Jin, "I guess it just means I'm better than you."
"In your fucking dreams!"
Before the rest of us could intercept, the two began to bicker. Namjoon rolled his eyes, averting his gaze away from the two. We walked through the lobby, our stomachs growling in hunger. After we exited the movie theater, we split off into our separate groups. The five of us poured into Jin's car as he quickly pulled out of the parking lot. This time, Hoseok and Jungkook made me sit in the middle since Jungkook complained about how much the middle seat hurt his back.
Namjoon punched in the directions to the diner on Jin's car screen, glancing occasionally at his phone. Hoseok leaned forward, glancing at Jungkook with furrowed eyebrows, "But I thought that was her mother."
"No, she was the older sister that rented the cabin for them," I responded to Hoseok, all of us conversing about the movie.
"I hated her best friend though, she was such a bitch," Namjoon spoke, leaning back in his seat after finishing the directions.
"No one liked her. It was a good thing she was the first to die."
After making small talk about the movie, our conversation branched out into other topics. Jungkook, who was glancing at this phone, turned to Hoseok and I with wide eyes, interrupting our previous conversation, "Wait, is that essay in history due on Monday?"
I nodded, raising an eyebrow at him, "Yeah. Did you even do it?"
"No! Soyoung from class just texted me about it and I didn't realize it until now."
"You better do it or you'll end up failing history for this semester," Hoseok warned, holding back an eye roll at Jungkook's disregard for any school assignment.
Namjoon snorted at Hoseok's comment, staring out the window as we spoke. Jin stared at us through the top rearview mirror, a smirk on his lips, "At this point, I'm not even surprised if he fails."
Soon after, we reached the diner, parking in the parking spot closest to the restaurant. We exited the car, making our way towards the diner. We entered the diner to see the rest of our friends as we waited for a table.
The interior design was very retro, considering the beige painted walls with tons of black and white photos and stickers. Red booths lined the edges of the diner, each table with its very own window. Above each booth was a small, white light, shimmering onto the scenery. On the side of the diner was a small counter, the kitchen behind it. Waitresses served customers who sat patiently on red cushioned stools. The tiled floor resembled a black and white checkered pattern as several other small tables were scattered throughout the middle of the restaurant.
