Chapter 27: One Who Follows
Part ONE

I felt a drop of water on the back of my hand.

And then another.

Soon it poured. I lifted my face to the dark gray sky and saw raindrops charging down, relentlessly like an army from the heavens.

I pulled my hood on.

"We better stop over here" Seo utters as he swerves the Esctella to the side of the road.

The woods are as calm as the gusting wind despite the rainfall but amidst that, I can see a substantial amount of miasma lurking around us from behind my mask; not enough to be alarmed for but thick enough that shrouds my view.

"I don't think it's a good idea to stay around these parts" I warned them but Seo stopped over anyway. The heavens roared above us almost at the same time as I spoke.

"I agree with her!" Yuffie added. "We need a better and safer place like a cave"

"We don't have a choice, the weather is getting worse." Seo responded, turning to check on Davos who looks a bit disoriented from waking up from a nap. Good thing he's wearing a cloak, I thought, it covers him from the rain.

"I can keep us dry. Let's keep going." Stray contended as though he's taking my side on this. "I'll create a wind barrier around us until the rain subsides."
