The next time Izuku opened his eyes, he was in a totally unknown place, in an unfamiliar room's unfamiliar bed.

He blinked once, then blinked twice, but the sight still didn't make any sense to him, so he quickly jumped up in the bed, looked around, just to be even more startled as he noticed Tenko's sleeping form, sitting in an armchair right next to the bed.

If Tenko also was here, daring to actually fall asleep, then Izuku could calm down too. Because if it was a dangerous situation, Tenko definitely wouldn't be sleeping right now.
So Izuku decided to take his time, and because he could use a few more hours of peaceful resting in a comfortable bed, he just laid back down, lazily observing the place he found himself in.

It wasn't a very friendly place, but it wasn't bad either. The walls were painted in a peachy shade, making a comforting atmosphere in the room. There was a small window with no curtain, a medium sized table with fresh, clean clothes on it, and a big mahogany wardrobe in the opposing side of the room. And of course, besides the bed, there were two comfortable looking armchairs (with Tenko sleeping in one of them). It wasn't much, but it was more than enough for Izuku to suddenly feel at ease.
He couldn't remember the last time he had the opportunity to rest in a normal room, in a comfortable, clean bed with fresh bedding, so he decided to worry later about the strange situation.

He might have actually fallen asleep at some point, so when he heard a deep, unfamiliar voice, he almost jumped out of his skin in surprise.

"Finally awake, I see. You gave quite a fright to your friend here." -talked the stranger to Izuku, and as he came closer, so the boy could meet the sight of a tall, muscular form of a man.

The man had long black hair that he was wearing in a lose ponytail, a black T-shirt and some comfortable looking jeans with a red leather jacket. He was quite good looking, though he had firm features, that made him look a little intimidating.

Izuku tried to answer him, but when he opened his mouth only a harsh, painful cough left his throat.

He couldn't speak.

"Oh, I see." -the man seemed to be thinking, but before he could have said anything else, a loud voice of cursing could be heard.

"..Ough." -it was Tenko's voice- "When did I fall asleep?"-it took him some time to remember where he was, but when that happened, he quickly turned towards Izuku.

"...You are awake" -for a moment, both boys could only stare at each other. Izuku was nervous, he was afraid of what the other would do next. He didn't want to argue (or more likely: to listen to the other's yelling, because his voice didn't seem to work) so he tried to look as small as possible, while silently begging to the other to say something. Anything. He didn't have to wait for long, because Tenko took a deep breath, and then... then, he suddenly moved towards Izuku, placed his arms around him as he tightly pulled him to his chest, hugging him.

And then, he let go of him and just snapped.

"What the hell were you thinking?!"-and he was yelling at Izuku. "Why do you have to play freaking hero all the damn time?! You...you moron!"

Izuku just stared at him with a guilty look in his eyes. He wanted to say something, he really did, but he couldn't. He wasn't able to.

"Won't you say something?! Apologise at least for making me worried!"

"Well. As amusing as it is to hear your heartwarming thoughts, I have to notify you, that your little friend cannot speak. His vocal cords are damaged. It will take a few days -at least- for then to heal."

"Perfect. So he won't be able to talk?"

"Correct"

"Well damn"-grumpled the older boy, suddenly forgetting about his anger-"now, that he is awake, can we go home?"

"If you wish, but I don't recommend it yet. He needs to rest and heal"

"He can rest at home perfectly fine!"

"Are you sure about that?" -the vigilante raised an eyebrow in question. Of course he didn't know much about the two boys, but he wasn't stupid, so he figured out their situation. He doubted they had a very nice life at home. Or if they had a home at all.

But he did not say anything yet.

"You didn't even notify a parent. Would he truly be safe at home ?"

"I can take care of him. We don't need a fucking parent!" -snapped the boy at the older.

"You are both kids."

"So? We were perfectly fine until someone decided to play hero!" -no, he was not dropping the topic soon.

"Of course. Because two kids could take care of each other." -he was being sarcastic-"and look where you two are now. With one of you temporary mute."

"It's...It's none of your business! We don't even know you! Why would we trust you?!"

"Do you have any other choise?"

Tenko was about to say something back, but he was stopped by a hand on his shoulders. Izuku was pleading with his eyes for him to stop. Making enemies wouldn't do them any good. And the man did help them, so there was that.

"Fine! Whatever. I don't care"

The vigilante just grinned at them, as he slowly walked besides Izuku to check on his injures, with Tenko's unwavering gaze following his every step.

He was overly protective, but would anyone blame him?

They only had each other after all.
