It's that feeling in your head
The thumping of your heart
The tingling of your skin
Your head shows you the right way
But you choose your heart... again.
Momentary pleasures lure you in
And being the fool you are
You fall deep down
And wonder where it leads
Since you are already at rock bottom
But still can't make yourself to care.
The pleas of your loved ones rain over you
But you just can't find that missing piece
The piece that made you want to flourish and soar
It's like that part of you is gone forever.
And you wonder what you're doing there
All the while knowing the reason why,
But choosing to ignore it
'Cause that's exactly what you've been doing
For the past three years.
But in the nights,
When your 'friends' doze off
You lie awake wondering why...
Why... why have you still not learnt?
