The battle started. Everyone was fighting with every beat of their heart. We were a team, we had each other's backs and that's why we were unstoppable.
Finally, it was only Ultron left, but we had to make sure he didn't stay alive in any form plus still guard the core and get the people safe.
"We gotta move out. Even I can tell the air is getting thin. You guys get to the boats. I'll be right behind you" said Captain America
"What about the core?" asked Clint
"I'll protect it. It's my job" I said. I couldn't tell why, but Captain America didn't seem very happy with my answer and he was going to say something but agent Romanoff win him over and said:
"Cap you need to make sure no one is left behind" and his answer was just his head moving.
Then they left and Pietro appeared.
"Get the people on the boats" I order him
"I am not going to leave you here" he replied
"I can handle this. Come back for me when everyone else is off not before. You understand?" I say
"You know, I'm 12 minutes older than you" he replies and I can't help but smile, and tell him to go.
STEVE
We were all getting in the boats when Ultron came in a ship firing at us. Barton was getting a kid into a boat and he just turned around to try and save him. But he didn't realize Pietro moved a car in front of them to save them both, he died saving them.
WANDA
Everything changed, I felt like a crushing weight in my heart, my head was exploding and every cell in my body hurt. I couldn't move, I couldn't breathe, I just couldn't...

STEVE
I took Pietro into a boat and immediately went running to the church to find Wanda. I knew she would be crushed, losing your brother is hard, but when I got there she was gone.
WANDA
Things weren't supposed to be this way. This wasn't supposed to be my life. I found Ultron and he said:
"Wanda, if you stay here, you'll die" Like he actually cared
"I just did. Do you know how it felt?" I said as I ripped out of his chest his metal heart. "It felt like that"
STEVE
I got on the boat barely on time and saw the city go down before turning to dust right in front of my eyes.
Then right behind me appeared Wanda, with her usually golden eyes now red and as she let herself down on the boat she lost consciousness. I ran to her and luckily catch her before she hit the floor, the doctors check her and said she needed to rest.
WANDA
I woke up in a beautiful room and I realized we were back at the tower. I honestly didn't know how to feel, it was still too soon to really think it through.
I was lost in my mind when I realized someone left a note on the desk:
"Wanda, the doctor said you're okay but you need to rest. Since your abilities are still new, is possible that your body got itself in shock from all the emotions you were feeling, you just need to take it easy for a few days. I am really sorry about your brother, it doesn't get any easier but I wanted to tell you that in a few days I am seeing recruits for the Avengers team. I know all you went through was hard, so I understand if you decide to leave. Just think about it and get better" - Steve Rogers
I honestly didn't have anything to think about. My brother died saving the world, I couldn't do any less than him.
Five days later
STEVE
It's been a week since we defeated Ultron. Thor left to find answers and I was talking with Tony about it.
"It's time for me to tap out. Maybe I should take a page from Barton's book. Build Pepper a farm, hope nobody blows it up" he was telling me
"The simple life" I complement
"You'll get there one day" he said
"I don't know. Family, stability... The guy who wanted all that went into the ice 75 years ago. I think someone else came out"
"You all right?" he asks
"I'm home" I said
Tony left, Thor left, Clint left, we had no update on Banner. Still, life goes on, and today the new Avengers were starting to train. I went looking for Romanoff since she was going to help me.
"You wanna keep staring at the wall, or do you wanna go to work?" I ask funny "I mean is a pretty interesting wall"
"I thought you and Tony were still gazing into each other's eyes" she replies "How do we look?"
"They're good. They're not a team" I said
"Let's beat them into shape" she replied seriously
