I rushed over to the booth and stood in line to get into a tour group. The woman in line before me joined the group of people and they began to walk away.
"Uh guys?!" I yelled.
"Only 14 people in a group! Sorry hun!" The guide shouted back.
Ok awesome. Alice left 10 minutes ago to get lunch and now I'm left without a group. I look around helplessly for another group and finally spotted one.
I ran over and nearly tripped over the guide. "Hi hello do you have any spaces left in this group?" I sounded so desperate.
"Actually, we do! Please, join us!" She smiled warmly
"Ok great, thanks." I smiled back.
The campus was really beautiful from what I could tell. One minute into the tour I felt a tap on my shoulder. "Hey Carlie." Dylan chuckled.
"We've been over this. It's Callie." I was surprised to see him and a bit frustrated he kept getting my name wrong.
Dylan just chuckled and asked, "are you stalking me?"
I must've turned bright red. "What?! No. What? Why?"
"I don't know you just seemed really eager to be in THIS group when there were like 15 other open groups." He explained
"This was the last open group!" I retorted.
Dylan pointed across the lawn to a bunch of other small groups.
"Oh.. Well I didn't even see you." I was so embarrassed.
"Whatever." He was so stubborn.
"Whatever." Then again so was I.
"What do you want to go here for? Wait, let me guess. You have the singing voice of an angel and you will one day be the next Beyonce." He smiled.
I couldn't help but laugh at this. "Yuck no when I sing I literally sounds like a cat is being stabbed. Repetitively." Now it was his turn to laugh.
"Ok. So singing is a no go. But really, what are you here for?" He seemed genuinely curious.
"Acting." I say confidently.
"Wow really? So am I." He looked like he could be an actor. He looked like he could have millions of girls fan-girling over him. Oh wait. He already did. He was the most popular kid in school.
"Why are you talking to me?" I asked him. I didn't know why he'd want to even look at someone like me.
Before he could answer the tour guide was saying something. "Hey. Lovebirds. You guys are really cute together and all but this is a learning experience. You have to listen."
"Oh no you don't understand... We aren't dati-" I start but Dylan cuts me off.
"Sorry ma'am. It's hard not to talk to someone as beautiful as her!" He smirked and didn't say anything for the rest of the tour and neither did I.

I couldn't even listen to what the tour guide was saying. The words were flying right pass me. All I could think about was Dylan just called me beautiful.
