Colouring

For this I'm going to use my copic markers.

I know i don't have that many of them.

Tip 1. Allways start with the lightest colour. Now im not talking about the lightes colour on your art im talking about the lightest shade of each colour.

Eg start with the lighter purple. This makes shading easier later on.

Add all of your other colours.

I had never used that dark purple before and i realised how dark it was when it was to late...

How to colour eyes:

1. Draw an oval shape for the iris and colour that:

2. Draw a smaller oval shape inside of the other one. You can choose to colour this in black or just leave the outline. For now i will leave just the outline, however i may come back and colour it later.

Now for shading, get some coloured pencils in similar shade to that of your dragon. You can also shade with makers. I like to shade with both!

Copic shading first and then pencil over the top.

See how much difference a little shading can make?

Now add some details or highlights. Use a white pen for this.

And your done!

It's important that you don't go to overboard with the details.
