Chapter 9

In the dark and cold basement, the blonde cried in pain while her little sister bandaged up her legs
"Hopefully you'll learn to behave. Now you can't run or kick me anymore..." Mei said as she finished bandaging up her left leg. Yuzu trembled as she grabbed the pills and started chewing them
Fuck! These p-painkillers...they don't h-have any a-affect...my-my legs...
"You still look beautiful to me baby" Mei said. Yuzu trembled and groaned in pain
"Don't cry so much babe. It'll soon get healed...and maybe you'll behave" Mei said and giggled. She stroked her leg slowly and touched her bruise
"Ugh! Pl-please...stop it..." Yuzu cried
"You're going to have to get used to this..." Mei said. Yuzu whimpered loudly and kept eating the painkillers
"M-make it...g-go away" Yuzu said
"You already took a whole bottle of it" Mei said as she grabbed the empty bottle. Yuzu whimpered and breathed heavily
"I-it hurts...make it g-go away..." Yuzu cried
"It'll go away. You'll just have to wait" Mei said. Yuzu teared up and cried
I have to get out! I have to!
"The cold season will be coming soon and the basement will be freezing..." Mei said and looked around. She looked at the walls and looked at Yuzu
"Well since your legs are completely broken then it's fine to bring you up when cold begins. Either way...you can't escape without the pin number" Mei said and giggled. Yuzu trembled and closed her eyes tightly
I don't want to be here...I just want to die already...end my suffering

"I'll be back with your breakfast. After that I'll take you to the bathroom to get you cleaned up" Mei said as she stood up and went to the stairs. Yuzu trembled and moved a little
"Sh-shit...can't f-fucking roll over..." Yuzu groaned. She stared at the wall and trembled

Flashback
In the apartment, the young blonde stared out the window. She whimpered a but since it was getting late
'Mama is late...'
Yuzu trembled a little and went to the living room. She sat on the couch and grabbed the remote. She turned on TV and watched her favorite show. Yuzu looked over at the clock. She watched time pass by and soon she drifted off to sleep. The door opened as her mother stepped inside the house
"Yuzu?" Ume asked as she looked around. Yuzu groaned a bit and slowly opened her eyes. She sat up yawning and gasped
"Mama!" Yuzu said
"Hi Yuzu" Ume said as she smiled. Yuzu got out of the couch and ran up to her mother
"Mama! You're back!" Yuzu said and hugged her tightly
"I'm sorry for coming home late" Ume said and stroked her hair softly
"It's okay mama. I understand that you have to work a lot to help" Yuzu said. Ume smiled and kissed her forehead softly
"Oh! When I grow up I'll help you work!" Yuzu said as she smiled at her mother brightly. Ume giggled and ruffled her hair
"Of course dear. Now let's get you to bed" Ume said and carried Yuzu in her arms. Yuzu yawned and rested her head on her mother's shoulder
"Okay mama" Yuzu said. Ume took Yuzu to her room and laid her down on the bed. Yuzu got under the covers and looked at her mom
"Mama please read me a story" Yuzu said. Ume kissed her head softly and stroked her hair
"Okay dear" Ume said
End Of Flashback
"I-I want mama...back" Yuzu said and cried. Meanwhile Mei was in the kitchen and started making Yuzu breakfast. She wore a smile while humming a song
"The mysterious death of Iku Henmi is under investigation. We've also been informed about a few more deaths in town. Investigators hope to find the murder and bring them to justice" The reporter said
"Hehehe...as if they'll find us. I won't let them ruin my happy life with my Yuzu" Mei said and giggled
No one will take her away from me...

"H-how the hell do you know her?" Soha asked
"She is our friend right now. She is helping us with trying to capture Alyssa" Liana said
"Please don't tell me we're going to see her" Soha did
"We will be" Liana said
"Then get me out of here" Soha growled
"Calm down Soha. It'll be okay" Celeste said
"She is right. Calm the fuck down" Hana said
"Hana that's enough" Liana said
"Sorry sis" Hana said and chuckled softly
"We'll be getting there soon" Liana said
"Damnit...do I really have to see her?" Soha asked as she looked down clenching her fists tightly
"Soha calm down. It'll be okay. I'm here" Celeste said
"Thanks Celeste but...I just can't believe this bitch is back. Where the hell has she been this entire time?" Soha asked
"Why would you care about that?" Liana asked
"What?" Soha asked
"I said why would you give a fuck? I mean you left her for someone else...better" Liana said
"What the hell are you saying?" Celeste asked
"Taniguchi...you shouldn't be caring for her. I mean you left her right? And Jinah ended up living her own life" Liana said
"Y-yeah but...we could've stayed friends..." Soha said with a sad tone
"Depends if she even wants to be your friend..." Hana mumbled
"What was that?" Soha asked
"Hehe nothing" Hana said
"We've arrived" Liana said. The car parked by a building and everyone stepped out of the car
"What is this place?" Celeste asked
"Please follow me" Liana said as she walked to the front door. She entered a password and soon the doors opened
"Let's go" Hana said and stepped inside
"Hana careful!" Liana said as she followed her inside. Celeste and Soha went inside the building and they followed Liana inside. They headed to an elevator and went to the top floor
"This place is our workplace. We research and investigate these monstrous forms. This thing actually appeared years ago..." Liana said
"What? These monsters were alive a while back?" Soha asked
"Yes because they looked so similar. We looked into it more and realized these things used different organisms to be able to survive on their own" Liana said
"So they're using our bodies" Celeste said
"Yes...but some of them destroy bodies" Liana said
"Wh-what?" Soha asked
"Don't worry the two of you seem in good shape though. I believe you two have some special bond with those things" Liana said
The elevator doors opened and she stepped out of the doors along with her little sister
"And this special bond means?" Celeste asked
"That they're friendly...but for Alyssa...her type of bond is deadly. She is using the monster's strength and the monster within her is using her. I believe that monster will slowly take over her entire body. We must stop them both before it goes berserk" Liana said
"Now remind me why Jinah is here?" Soha asked
"Eager to see her?" Liana asked
"Wh-what? No!" Soha said as she blushed a little
"Just playing. Jinah is actually training" Liana said
"Training for what?" Celeste asked
"Well going after Alyssa is a suicidal mission. Jinah's been working hard for a few months. I sent her last night to go after her and she was lucky. It seems Alyssa hasn't been getting strong or has been killing lately which means she was weak when Jinah attacked her" Liana said
"You sent her alone to fight her? Are you crazy?" Soha asked
"She volunteered" Liana said
"What? Why?" Soha asked
"Why not ask her yourself?" Liana said and arrived at a door. She opened it and revealed Jinah fighting a monster
"Wait are you trying to kill her?!" Soha exclaimed
"Jeez calm down. She's trained" Liana said. Jinah pulled out the spheres and threw them at the monster who hissed in pain. The monster began to weaken and Jinah ran towards it as she pulled out a gun
One hit...
Jinah loaded the gun with the small sphere and aimed for the chest
"I win" Jinah said and pulled the trigger. The monster hissed in pain and fell to the ground whimpering. The person revealed itself and chuckled softly
"Good job Jinah" The guy said and groaned in pain
"Hehe thanks. Better luck next time" Jinah said as she walked up to him and helped him up
"And it seems you have visitors" The guy said as he looked to the side. Jinah turned and saw Liana with her two old friends

"Great..." Jinah mumbled
"Seyama come over here" Liana said. Jinah let out a groan before heading out of the training room

"Hey Jinah how are you?" Hana asked
"What the hell do you want?" Jinah asked
"Jinah come here" Liana said. Jinah groaned softly and followed Liana heading to the same room as the two other women
"I thought I told you that I didn't want to see them" Jinah whispered
"Either way you were going to see them" Liana said
"Whatever" Jinah said and took a seat
"Now let's talk about capturing Alyssa" Liana said
"Use Tornado haired bitch as bait" Jinah said and giggled
"Seems you haven't changed brat" Celeste said
"I guess you could say that..." Jinah said as she looked away
"Where the hell have you been?" Soha asked
"Since when did you care for me?" Jinah asked
"We were friends back then. We still are now...right?" Soha asked
"Pfft as if..." Jinah said
"What happened to you?" Celeste asked
"Glad you asked. Anyways I met Taruto Mizusawa and decided to have fun. In the end I kinda got fucked up since I got pregnant...but he took her away from me to get rid of her" Jinah said as her eyes darkened and clenched her fists tightly
"What? Why would he do that?" Soha asked
"Don't know...but I give zero shits about it" Jinah said
"What happened after that?" Celeste asked. Jinah smirked devilishly and giggled
"I killed him and his wife..." Jinah said
"W-wait what?" Soha asked
"I'm not surprised" Celeste said
"So then...were you taken to prison?" Soha asked
"Of course bitch. I spent years in there..." Jinah said
"And volunteered to kill Alyssa..." Soha said
"Oh yeah. I met Liana since she knew I was a Seyama. I told her that if she freed me then I would capture the slut for her" Jinah said
"And your daughter...?" Celeste asked. Jinah leaned back and looked at the ceiling
"I met up with Ume and told me everything. Heh...I'm so happy my little girl is alive" Jinah said as she smiled
"Wait you met up with Ume Aoi?" Celeste asked
"What? When? How did you even find her?" Soha asked
"It was easy..." Jinah said and giggled
"When though?" Soha asked
"Last night...she was in pain. After losing her two girls...I'm afraid what she will be doing next" Jinah said
"What? She lost her two girls?" Soha asked
"You're talking about Mei and Yuzu Aihara?" Celeste asked
"Yeah...and I'm scared" Jinah said
"Scared for what?" Celeste asked
"Alyssa may not want you as your bitch no more but Ume...she is another target" Jinah said
"What do you mean another target?" Celeste asked
"You two may have never noticed back then but...Ume had a crush on Alyssa. Haha I even remember that I caught her stalking Alyssa on her way home. She was crazy obsessed with her and she would never admit it. Guess it was because she caught you two kissing..." Jinah said and laughed a little
"Wait? Me and Alyssa?" Celeste asked
"Yep. Ume felt broken that day and wanted to end her life right there until she met an angel. He was a very nice and handsome man" Jinah said
"She had a husband?" Soha asked
"Well duh. How did she give birth to her girl Yuzu? Anyways his name was Yongi Okogi" Jinah said
"How do you know this?" Soha asked
"I stayed friends with her while she stayed hidden from you two...and Alyssa" Jinah said
"Right...but why?" Celeste asked
"Don't know" Jinah said
"Did something happen to her husband?" Soha asked
"He passed away when Yuzu was just 3. It was a tragic night for them both. Ume became obsessed with drinking that I had to tell her to stop...before she turned out like her parents" Jinah said
"And I guess she met Sho and she fell in love?" Soha asked
"I don't know about that but what I do know...is that the main reason why she agreed to be with him wasn't because of love. It was because of Mei Aihara..." Jinah said
"Wait...it's not because of her looks right?" Celeste asked
"Ume's obsession is back and I'm worried. If she finds Alyssa then...we're probably doomed" Jinah said
