Chapter 31

The sun began to set and the moon lit the city with it's beautiful light. In the abandoned house, Yuzu was sitting on the couch. She stared at the blocked window and some of the moonlight entered through the cracks
The moon...I want...to see
"M-mei are you done yet?" Yuzu asked
"I'm coming honey" Mei said. Yuzu looked down and clenched her fists tightly
Okay...I am going to the outside world. It's been a while but now...now could be my chance to-
Yuzu froze and felt the shadow grab her by the neck
"You're going to die Yuzuko" She whispered. Yuzu trembled and clenched her fists tightly
"Shut up. I won't let that happen..." Yuzu said as she looked down
"Hehe you sure you can survive with those shitty legs?" She asked
"I said shut up...please get out of my fucking head" Yuzu growled as she grabbed her head. Mei stepped out and saw Yuzu
"Yuzu? Is everything okay?" Mei asked. Yuzu's eyes widen and looked up at her
"A-ah hey Mei" Yuzu said as she smiled
"Did something happen? Are you feeling sick?" Mei asked as she walked up to her
"Wh-what? No. I'm really fine" Yuzu said as she smiled
"Yuzu....are you sure?" Mei asked and cupped both her cheeks. Yuzu smiled at her and held her hand
"B-babe..." Yuzu said
"Yes Yuzu?" Mei asked
"H-hold me" Yuzu said. Mei wrapped her arms around her. Yuzu blushed and hugged her back
"Are you sure you're okay? If you don't feel like it we can always just go out some other day" Mei said
"No...I don't want to ruin our night together" Yuzu said and kissed her ear softly. Mei's eyes widen and trembled as she blushed deeply
"Y-yuzu" Mei said
"Hehe you're so cute" Yuzu said as she looked at her. Mei's ears redden as well as her face. Yuzu smiled and caressed her cheek softly
"You look so adorable Mei" Yuzu said and kissed her nose. Mei smiled and stroked her hair softly
"I love you so much...Yuzuko" Mei giggled. Yuzu blushed deeply and Mei leaned in. She connected their lips and the two shared a passionate kiss. Yuzu kissed her and held her closely. Mei blushed and kissed her back
"Mmmm~" Mei moaned and sucked on her bottom lip asking for entrance. Yuzu blushed deeply and opened her mouth letting her in. Mei slipped her tongue inside her mouth and licked her tongue slowly
"Mmmm~" Yuzu moaned and wrapped her tongue around hers. Mei broke the kiss and smiled at her
"I love you so much" Mei giggled
"I-I love you too" Yuzu said and looked away as she blushed deeply. Mei giggled and held her hand then gave it a soft kiss
"You ready?" Mei asked
"Y-yeah" Yuzu said and nodded. Mei walked back to the room and grabbed a wheelchair. She walked back to her and helped Yuzu get on the wheelchair. Yuzu looked down at her legs and trembled a bit
"Hm? You alright?" Mei asked
"No...I'm fine" Yuzu said as she looked at her and smiled softly. Mei smiled and started walking to the door. She opened it letting a cold breeze inside. Yuzu shivered a bit and smiled
The fresh cold air...it's...been a while
Flashback
"Mama! Look! It's snowing!" Yuzu said as she pointed outside
"Oh my it is" Ume said as she giggled
"Let's go outside! Please!" Yuzu said
"Hehe alright. I'll go grab your clothes" Ume said and walked to her room. Yuzu waited on the couch and wore a bright smile
'I can't wait to play on the snow!'
Ume stepped out of the room and held out Yuzu's winter clothes
"Let's go Yuzu" Ume said as she smiled
"Yay!" Yuzu said. Ume giggled and started putting Yuzu's clothes on. After getting ready, the two left the house
"This is cool mama!" Yuzu said as she ran around on the snow. Ume smiled as she watched her daughter playing on the snow. Yuzu giggled and made a snowball
"Mama can we try to make a snowman?" Yuzu asked
"Of course sweetie" Ume said as she smiled softly. Ume and Yuzu began building their snowman. In a couple of minutes, their snowman was built
"Yay! We did it! Mama look!" Yuzu said and hugged the snowman
"Hehe want me to take a picture?" Ume asked
"Yes! Please?" Yuzu asked
"Sure" Ume said and pulled out her phone. She held her phone and took a picture of Yuzu
"Got it" Ume said
"Ooh! Let me see! Let me see!" Yuzu said and ran up to her. Ume smiled and showed her the picture

"Yuzu? Do you feel cold?" Mei asked
"No...it's fine. I feel okay" Yuzu said as she smiled at her. Mei blushed and kissed her cheek softly
"Cute" Mei whispered. Mei took Yuzu out and they both went for a walk. Yuzu looked around checking her surroundings
Hmm...this place seems strange. I haven't been here before I think
"Yuzu? You alright?" Mei asked
"Oh Mei. Stop worrying about me. I am okay" Yuzu said and giggled softly. Mei looked down at her and smiled softly

"Even though if it's cold out...I actually like it" Yuzu said and looked up at the moon
"It's a beautiful night...isn't it?" Mei asked as she looked around
"Yes...it is" Yuzu said. Mei started walking while pushing Yuzu
"Where are we going?" Yuzu asked
"Somewhere beautiful" Mei giggled. The two went to the streets and Mei stopped by an alley
"Mei?" Yuzu asked. Mei smiled softly and wrapped her arms around her from behind
"Yuzu...you know I love you right?" Mei asked
"Yes Mei..." Yuzu said and smiled. Mei pulled away from her and stood in front of her
"Yuzu...I love you with all my heart. I really want to have a family with you. My heart can't stop beating for you. Everytime I look at you...my love only gets stronger. I'm deeply in love with you Yuzu" Mei said and turned to look at her. She held out a small box which made Yuzu look at her surprised
Wait...wh-what the hell is she doing? Is she a-actually going t-to...ask?
"Yuzuko Aihara...I will always protect you and love you forever. I will never leave your side ever again. I will always stay with you and care for you" Mei said
"M-mei?" Yuzu asked as she teared up
"Yuzu..." Mei said before getting down on one knee. Yuzu trembled as tears rolled down her cheeks
Wh-why...why...why am I...f-feeling like this!? Why?!
"Yuzu...will you marry me?" Mei asked as she revealing a beautiful emerald ring. Yuzu clenched her fists tightly and trembled
