The Great Hall was filled with its usual chatter and hollering of the students of Hogwarts

The Great Hall was filled with its usual chatter and hollering of the students of Hogwarts. Among them sat Fred, who was quieter than he usually was. His plate remained empty in front of him as he simply stared off into the distance in a dazed state. Beside him, his twin brother, George, filled his plate with every food within reach. He was almost as bad as their younger brother, Ron, but nobody could ever be as bad as him. Angelina sat across from the two twins as she tried, and failed miserably, to catch the attention of George Weasley.

"George, what do you know about a Gryffindor named Maria?" Fred suddenly turned to Geroge, catching his twin completely off guard with his sudden movement and causing him to spill the cup of juice in his hand.

"Freddie!" George exclaimed as he tried to wipe off the newly formed stain on his school clothes. Instead, he managed to wipe the stain all across his secondhand school uniform. "Mum's going to bloody kill me!"

Angelina simply rolled her eyes at the boy as she pulled out her wand and waved it at George, muttering a small "scourgify" under her breath. Much to Angelina's dismay, George doesn't give her so much as a thanks as he turns to face his twin.

"Maria?" George's face portrayed his confusion at his twin's sudden interest in the Gryffindor. "I don't really know anything about her. Why?"

"I've just run into her a few times recently," Fred stated nonchalantly, although he was dying to find out more about the girl. "I was wondering if you knew her."

"No one really knows Maria," Angelina explained as though it was obvious, sighing when the boys turned to stare at her with confused expressions. "It's just, you both know her as Maria, but what's her last name?"

The twins shared a perplexed look before turning back to Angelina and shrugging their shoulders in sync.

"Exactly," Angelina stated her point before she continued, "Even the teachers call her by her first name, have you noticed that?"

Both boys shook their heads, wondering how they could have missed something that obvious.

"I'd stay away from her if I were you," Angelina's advice was the exact opposite of what Fred wanted to hear, however, he couldn't help but wonder why she would suggest such a thing. "I heard she talks to herself when she thinks nobody's there. She's also had a few...episodes at Hogwarts."

"Right, so she's bloody crazy then," George summed it up as he reached for a piece of cake across the table, intent on eating as much dessert possible.

"What kind of episodes?" Fred questioned, ignoring his twin, as he pushed for more information on Maria.

"I don't know," Angelina shrugged, already becoming bored of the conversation as Geroge zoned out so he could eat. "She freaks out if people touch her when she isn't wearing those stupid black gloves of hers. One time she threw Perseus across the Gryffindor common room, but they're also siblings so I'm not sure if that really counts."

"They're siblings?" George exclaimed what Fred had been thinking as Angelina scrunched her nose up as cake fell out of his mouth.

"Gross, George," she exclaimed in disgust as she looked away from him. "Don't talk with food in your mouth."

"Sorry," George muttered after he had swallowed his dessert before turning back to the task on hand. "But she's related to Perseus? But that's-"

"bloody impossible," Fred finished for his twin.

"We spend-"

"every day-"

"with that idiot."

"We'd know if Perseus had a sister," Fred finished in disbelief as Angelina glanced back and force between the twins.

"Well, he's never really admitted she's his sister," Angelina shrugged before she continued, "but it's obvious if you really look at it. Nobody knows Perseus' last name either, they both look pretty similar, and he's literally the only person she ever talks to."

"Bloody hell," the twins exclaimed as their mouths hung open in shock.

"Don't look so surprised," Angelina rolled her eyes at the twins. "At least pretend you knew he had a sister. What kind of friends are you anyways?"

"That bloody wanker is going to get it when I talk to him next!" Geroge spoke first as he stood abruptly and searched the Great Hall for Perseus. "I can't believe that idiot wouldn't tell me he had a sister!"

"Sit down, George," Fred pulled his twin back down. "We can deal with Perseus later. We've got bigger problems now."

"Oh yeah?" George asked sarcastically. "Like what?"

As if on cue, the doors to the Great Hall with thrown open with a loud bang. Everyone fell quiet and turned to the door to find a fifth-year Gryffindor panting at the door.

"Headmaster!" the student exclaimed as he rushed towards the staff's table. "You need to see this."

Dumbledore quickly stood from his spot, following after the student with the rest of the professors following close behind. Not wanting to miss out on what was happening, all the students climbed out of their seats and scurried behind to see what was wrong.

Fred and George were among those students as they pushed their way to the front until everyone stopped in a corridor where Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and their own brother, Ron Weasley stood in front of Filch's dead cat. Behind them, the seven words stared back at the whole student body which seemed to be written in blood.

The Chamber of Secrets Has Been Opened

Fred found his eyes wandering away from the words to a familiar brunette with striking grey eyes. Her lips moved, seemingly repeating what was written on the corridor wall. She seemed nervous, yet frighteningly calm at what was going on. Her eyes moved to Harry Potter for a few moments before moving on.

It didn't take long for her to finally catch his eyes, and they remained staring at each other for what seemed like an eternity before, without warning, she spun away from the scene towards the library as Fred couldn't help but wonder what she was up to.
