As I walk to school I see a book fall from the upper floor. I groan and sidestep the mysterious passages. As I reach my desk the transfer student sits next to me. I get up and sit somewhere else. During recess, a magical portal opens in front of me, and a wizard of some sort beckons for me. I shake my head no and sprint the other way. I sit down to eat my lunch as a deer walks out of the fray, and begins talking to me. I turn up my music and call animal control. On the way back home a beggar offers me a ring of power. I pass her some of my apple slices and get on my way. When I get home my mother tells me I won a draw to go to the most prestigious school in the world. I rip up the paper and burn it in the fireplace. During dinner, a meteor shower starts outside. I close the blinds. I heard a bang and saw a shining light coming from a crater in my backyard. I ignore it and do my dishes. I'm getting into bed when a war cry is heard outside of my window. I slam it shut and turn up my white noise machine. I ruffle my neon hair and squint my dual colored eyes in the mirror. Another day as an anime protagonist, another day of irritation.
