Sophie pov

"Fitz stop!" I laughed.

We were at a trampoline park and he was basically tickling me to death.

"You hit me with a dodgeball!" He exclaimed. "I'm not stopping."

"Please I'll do anything!" I gasped out laughing.

Fitz slumped back on to the trampoline laughing hard with me. It was nice to hang out one on one with my best friend. It had been awhile.

I sat up. "So, wanna get food or something? I'm so tired."

"Surely girly." Fitz smiled. "We could go to Chick-fil-a?"

"Um yes? You're talking to the Sophie Foster, of course I want Chick-fil-a!"

We hopped in his car, and started on the drive to Chick-fil-a. It was about a thirty minute drive too so we jammed out to my October playlist. It was sunset and we were pulling into the parking lot when I heard my phone ring.

Keefie poo <3 is calling...

"Oh! Let me take this you can go in and start ordering. You know what I want." Sophie winked.

As Fitz got out of the car Sophie answered the call.

"Heyyyyy." Sophie said sweetly.

"What's up? I haven't talked to you all day." Keefe said. It sounded like he just woke up from a nap, I thought.

"I'm not doing anything really."

"Awesome. Wanna come over?"

"Ehhh I canttt sorry angel." I pouted.

"Why not?" He pressed on.

"Im- uh doing something." I said. I don't think he would be happy if he knew I was spending all night with his best friend.

"Are you hiding something from me, Soph?"

"No! No I'm not."

"Promise?"

I hesitated. "Promise."

"On us?" Keefe whispered.

"On us." I said cringing. If he ever finds out... "I'll come in the morning okay?"

"Okay." I could hear the sadness in his voice. "I love you, stay safe."

"I love you too." I hug up, taking a deep breath. Of course I love Keefe, I should have told him the truth but... he's a bit sensitive when I comes to this stuff.

Knock

Knock

Knock

I sighed waiting for the door to be opened. It was 11am on a Saturday he would be home alone and probably sleeping.

Ugh.

Right as I was about to call him the huge doors opened. Keefe was wearing grey sweats and no shirt. It's like he just woke up because his hair was messy and he squinted at the bright morning sun.

"What are you doing here?" Keefe said in a morning voice that just made me want to kiss him.

But I was taken aback by the greeting. Usually he would pull me in for a hug or kiss, and we'd go upstairs, or cook food. It was like he didn't want me here at all.

He walked towards the stairs and said, "if you're coming in shut the door behind you."

I wasn't giving up yet. We walked up to his room in silence and he then sat infrontt of his TV watching a show I know he didn't like.

"Remember last night? I said I would come over." I smiled sitting beside him on the bed.

"Mhm." Was all he said.

My smile faded and I tried kissing him.

He didn't kiss back.

"Okay actually what's the matter with you, Keefe?"

He turned towards me with an annoyed expression on his face. "What were you doing last night?"

"What?"

"Tell me the truth, Sophie."

I hesitated. "I wasn't doing anything last night. I told you that."

"You hesitated."

"Did not!" I said.

"Tell the truth Sophie! I know where you were."

"Then tell me where I was."

"I shouldn't have to. You're not being very trustworthy right now."

"Well I am telling the truth." I said turning towards him.

"No you're not because I know you were with Fitz all day and night yesterday."

Silence creeped into the room.

"I did not do that." I whispered pursing my lips.

"Oh my gosh! Sophie what the hell! You promised."

"We just hung out okay? Why are you so damn heated?"

His eyes grew wide and his face turned beat red.

"The fact that you lied over and over again is almost unbelievable."

I almost lost it at this point. "You aren't my teacher Keefe! And you aren't in control of me so- so I can hang out with whoever I want!"

He said nothing.

"Say something maybe?" I almost yelled.

Still nothing. "So you're jealous is what you are saying?"

"No." He said staring out of the window. "You lied to me."

"Stop it Keefe." I said rolling my eyes, and grabbing my bag and coat.

"Where are you going?" He said.

"I don't know. But maybe I'll go hang out with all your friends and you can go kiss all of mine."

"I would never." Keefe whispered.

"Then stop acting like it! Because if you keep doing so, I don't want to be with you anymore."

Silence followed. All he did was put on a hoodie and walk over to hug me.

"Please don't leave me." He choked out. I could feel the hot tears on my neck and I hugged him back with sorrow. "I couldn't bare losing you."

"Keefe I-" There was something else entirely going on.

We sat on the floor together with me holding him in my arms for a change. "What happened?"

"I forgot how much I needed you." He whispered.

And soon enough, after all that fighting, we figured it out, and fell asleep together on the carpet floor.
