welcome to 'You Are Not Alone'! This story takes place after Love Never Dies and the tragic events at the pier. BrendaDaaeDestler and I have also brought in Nadir Khan from Gaston Leroux's original novel, as well as Susan Kay's Phantom, and along with that comes some slight changes to Erik's backstory. Allow us to fill you in:
Erik's mother sold him to travelling gypsies when he was a young boy. When the show arrived in Persia, a man named Nadir Khan helped him escape. Later, Nadir got in contact with his friend Madame Giry, who worked at the Opera Populaire. Nadir sneaked Erik onto a Paris-bound ship, and when he arrived, Madame Giry hid him at the Opera House, away from the world and its cruelties.
The rest of the story works in line with the musicals Phantom of the Opera and its sequel, Love Never Dies.

Getting to write with these amazing characters and this amazing storyline is so much fun, and collaborating with BrendaDaaeDestler makes it so much more enjoyable! She's such a lovely, creative person that is so incredibly helpful. Honestly, as she said, spending entire days planning this out is so much fun and the best stress reliever. This collab started off as an idea on a whim and now it is a full-blown story with amazing OCs and little twists and turns that you guys are going to adore.
