Fervent,

Revival like,

Onset of December,

Misled life in the midst of cold night,

To you and I say,

Here,don't fret and just stay,

Endless sorrow may lay,

Do not,

In the woods creep,

Nestled in the heart's cage,

Is the darkness that is asleep,

Never enough,

Grave gaffe,

Treasure,

Ardently so,

Bereft heartache brief woe,

Lest it is left unrequited slow,

Ebbed into me.

Author's Note- This poem is inspired from the Week 2 prompt of the ongoing Poet of the Year Contest. That being said, the competition is enthralling with amazing poems that have been submitted so far. So, go on and show your support by giving them all a read.
