Chapter 8: Wish Upon A Star

Naho's Pov:-

After some time, I left for that place. While I was in the taxi, I saw a rainbow in the sky. After a few minutes I reached there. I paid for the taxi and walked some steps. Someone was already there.

Itsumo sou yo Suneru to kimi wa.

Watashi no daiji na mono wo kakusu desho.

Sono basho wa kimatte onaji dakara.

Kyou wa saki ni itte matte miru wa...

(You're always like that.

When you're sulking

You hide the things that are important to me.

It's the same place as always,

So today I'll go there first and wait for you.)

"Kazu?" I silently called out his name.

He turned and looked at me with the same curvy smile on his lips and tears in his eyes.

"Yatto aeta yo, Naho (Finally, I got to see you, Naho)!" he said.

Tears had already fallen off from my eyes and now started flowing like a river. I still couldn't believe that Kazu is here. After these long 7 years, he is here, in front of my eyes, still with the same smile, still with the same shine in his eyes and still the same assurance and calmness in his voice. I'm glad that all these years I kept on believing that one day Kazu will come back. I'm glad that I was strong about my feelings. Kazu is here and nothing else than that makes me happier. And what makes me the happiest person alive right now is that he still remembers me.

Kisetsutachi ga yuuhi wo tsurete kite

Kage ga watashi wo mitsukete nobiru...

(The seasons bring the evening sunlight

The shadows find me and stretch toward me...)

I smiled in my tears. I slowly started walking towards him, with thoughts continuously running in my mind. He was walking back towards me. My heart beats were racing faster. He is looking more matured now. He looks such an adult. His voice is much deeper now. Because he is Ninomiya Kazunari, a singer from the IDOL band Arashi. He is an IDOL, JAPAN's IDOL. A lot of things have changed but the fact that just by looking at him I feel at ease remains the same.

(You look at me with a surprised face

Then you suddenly purse your lips and turn to look outside.

Our shadows are overlapping...)

Nino's Pov:-

Finally, she is here. Naho is here in front of me, smiling. Ah! How much I missed this smile of hers! But her smile makes me think that it's been recently we met each other. For now, I have forgotten that we haven't seen each other for 7 years. Now, nothing can distance us from each other. I'm glad I believed that one day no matter what we'll meet each other. I'm glad that she is smiling. Right now, I think I'm the happiest person alive because Naho is here and she remembers me. Although she has changed a lot, she has those same shiny eyes.
