Any Name, Location, or Event that appears in this story is purely coincidental and is from my imagination.

The funny thing about this story is that some aspects I got for it are from a dream I had a while back. I'm not sure how this is gonna go, but oh well.

Update (Friday, February 21) After who knows how long of writing chapter after chapter of this story, I'm finally publishing the first!

▪︎ ▪︎ ▪︎

A girl with brown hair is the first to wake up. She looks around to notice the three other people on the floor with her.

Where am I? She thinks, looking around once more.

Feeling around her clothes, she notices nothing in her possession but a necklace hanging around her neck.

A necklace with a charm that says N.

She sits there waiting for her company to wake up. N thinks about how this happened but can't seem to remember.

"There's no use in panicking," She mutters, leaning back against the wall. "Wherever we're going, we'll get there. Eventually."

She stares into space for a while before snapping back to reality as she notices her company stirring from beside her.

The black-haired boy jolts up, eyes full of panic. He looks around, noticing N sitting there, relaxed. He visibly relaxes and leans against the wall as well.

"Hello," She waves, smiling softly.

"What's up?" He studies her, eyes calculating. "How long have we been here?"

She shrugs, "Not sure. I woke up here and next to you three."

He looks around, seemingly just noticing the other company they had. Another boy and another girl were still out cold on the floor next to them.

He realizes he never introduced himself, but when he tries, he doesn't remember his name. Feeling around his clothes, he also notices he has no other possessions but a dog tag hanging around his neck.

A dog tag, with nothing but the letter K.

"I don't remember my name," He quietly mutters. He looks up, "Do you?"

She sadly laughs, "No, I don't, unfortunately."

"Then, what do we call each other?"

N points to his neck, "By the letter on your dog tag."

She lifts her necklace, "By the charm on my necklace."

K, He thinks. That's fine, I guess.

The other two start the stir next to them. K and N snap their heads to see them slowly wake up.

First, the red-headed girl sits up and looks at the two. Her eyes show nothing but confusion. Not even fear.

Finally, the blonde-haired boy sits up and looks around. He shows panic but not for the other three presences in the truck with them. Another reason was the cause of that.

First, the red-headed girl speaks, her voice innocent. "Where are we?"

N speaks, "Not sure. What I told K before is that I woke up here, next to you three."

The girl nodded, looking around.

N smiles, "I'm N."

K waves, "I'm K. We don't remember our names, but we have these."

N lifts her necklace and K lifts his dog tag. Each of them flashing the letter they have.

After hearing that they don't remember their names, the red-headed girl thinks. Racking her mind, she remembers nothing but waking up here. She shakes her head.

The red-headed girl searched her clothes to find nothing but a charm bracelet.

A bracelet with nothing but a charm that says C.

The blonde thinks the same and tries to remember. His mind recalls nothing but waking up here.

The blonde-haired boy says nothing but does the same. He searches his clothes to find nothing but a ring.

A ring with the letter T engraved in the metal.

"T," He says, flashing his ring.

"C," She says, showing the bracelet.

N smiles, "I guess that's what we call you."

After establishing their names, they talk about the random stuff that comes into their mind.

A static was heard after a short silence. The four teens snapped their heads to the ceiling where the voice was heard from.

"I finally see you four are awake! How exciting!"

Nobody said anything.

"No need to worry about anything," The voice continued. "We're heading to the Delphine Academy in Destin. You've heard of the place, right?"

N was the first to speak, "The School for the Gifted. Everyone has heard of it. But Mysterious Voice, what do we have to go there?"

"Not sure," The voice laughs. "Guess we'll find out together!"

K drones, "But why are we in the back of what it seems to be in a moving truck?"

The voice laughs again, "You're not in a moving truck! You're in a military-grade transport truck."

"What?" The four teens yell.

"You're dangerous. We don't know why, the Head of the school told us to bring you there," The voice turned hard and serious.

The four teens looked at each other, worried.

"Oh, would you look at that. We're here."

As he said that, a man opened the back door. Gruffly, he muttered, "Get out."

One by one, the two boys and the two girls hopped out of the back. They looked up, mouths agape.

Standing above them, there it was. Delphine Academy, the place who rules Destin. Where all of "Gifted" children and teens get sent to sharpen their abilities and powers.

The place they go into but never come out. Or so it seems.

"I'm going to ask again," N speaks, voice dripping with boredom. She points to herself and the three others. "Why are we here? Here as in Delphine Academy? The School for the Gifted."

T intervenes, "What abilities do we have? To get sent here, as opposed to a normal public school? As far as we remember, we're powerless. A mortal, whatever you call it."

The man looks at them but never speaks. The man proceeds to push them in order to walk. N, on the other hand, is a little more reluctant.

"No!" She yells, yanking her arm back from the man's grip.

"Go!" The man starts to get angry. He starts pushing her harder to the building. She only resists harder.

K tries to calm her down. "N! Calm down, what's wrong? You were fine on the way here. What's the difference?"

Her eyes flash with the one emotion. Fear. K sees it disappear as quickly as it came.

N stops struggling against his hold, only to yank her arm away once more. She looks at them, calm. Her eyes hold nothing as if all the fear she felt went away.

No fears. . . No tears. No one gets hurt. . . I don't get hurt, She thinks.

The three others look at her as walks towards the building, her stride confident and calm.

K looks at his company, confused. They only shrug as they've known her for as long as he has. The trio soon follows suit as they try to catch up to her.

When they did, they noticed her stop before the entrance. She's looking up at the sign above.
