December 31st 1960

It had been a wild couple of weeks all of the boys had arrived home, Christmas had been and gone.

For the first of what would be many, things had changed. Not only had Finn had matured outwardly, but so had the boys, their outfits were odd. And their aura was off. Was it a bad thing? Not really. Yes, her youthfulness was slipping away and her innocent appearance was no longer, but her immature nature and naivety was still there giving her the childlike innocence the boys knew her for - though gradually she was pushing it away.

And the boys. Hamburg had changed them. Finn did not know how or why but they were different. Tiresome yet more outgoing than they once were. George even had a sense of cockiness to his usual kind self.

The sweet memory of when Pete and Paul had arrived back on the ferry was one Finn thought of with a full heart.

"Those bloody fools..." Muttered Mona Best as they awaited for the ferry to stream out with people.

When moving clubs, Paul and Pete thought of the brilliant idea to start a fire. Obviously the two of them were caught, leaving them in police custody for a day or so as immigration decided upon what to do with the two Liverpudlians, ultimately deciding upon deporting them much like how George had been days prior.

Mona and Finn stood awaiting them by the docks, they watched as people gradually started pilling out of the ferry.

A familiar sense of sickness washed over Finn as she thought of the lads reaction to her new look. Knowing she was overreacting much like when George came home she knew they'd be the same kind souls as before.

She saw a glimpse of the two musicians, they looked worn out yet Finn couldn't help but admire how cute they were.

They sped walked across to Mona once spotting her. Once reaching the two of them, Paul and Pete looked at Finn in confusion and curiosity.

Mona engulfed the two lads in hugs before anyone could get a word out.

"Alright, Finn." Paul nodded in her direction, "you're looking good, I like the pants." He said gesturing to her tight faux black leather pants, leaving a blush placed on her face.

"How's it been holding up the Pool w'out us?" Pete asked with a smirk as her embraced her in a hug, his let arm lingering around her waist.

Neither boy would take their eyes off of her.

"Lonely, but I've survived with a few cool people."

Mona and Pete soon left to go home, Pete wanting some much needed rest after the long ferry journey.

Paul laced his arm around her shoulder as they made their way to one of the many taxis littered around the docks.

"You can walk me home for once." He smirked to the younger girl.

Of course Finn had missed all of the lads, but she hadn't of seen John since his departure from Liverpool even though he had returned on the 10th, over two weeks ago.

Their timetables had just clashed, Mimi had invited their extended family over for a week to celebrate Johns return. And Finn was out with Kath, Paul and George a lot recently. She was really enjoying their company after months of it being her and Kath alone causing mischief.

But tonight the band was performing at the Casbah Club for New Years. Finn was going to be in attendance, accompanied by Kath of course.

The two teens were getting ready at Kaths, she lived closer.

"Excited?" Kath asked the girl.

Finn looked at her through the mirror, "of course, it's New Years."

She rolled her eyes whilst adjusting a earring, "I mean to see John."

"I've missed him." Finn smiled with a sigh.

"I'm excited to meet him," Kath started, "all the girls at the cavern say he's the best looking."

Upon saying this caused Finn to break out into a fit of coughs.

Kath giggled, "struck a nerve there, Finn?"

"Don't be so silly!" She exclaimed as a reply.

"Oh that's right," the two girls were applying their red lipsticks, "you and Paul are getting closer."

"I'm sorry what?" Finn questioned caught off guard.

"You've just been spending a lot of time cosying up to him, s'all" she shrugged.

"I can assure you there's nothing there."

They both blotted their lipsticks with tissues.

"Come on," Kath made her way to the mirror, "let's leave our mark."

She placed a kiss on the mirror, just below a photo booth picture of the two girls pinned to it, she encouraged the younger girl to do the same and after doing so they left to embark on the New Years night.
