Happy nineteenth of December! My holidays finally started which means I can upload more often! This book is about to end in a few days and I truly hope that all of you will like the ending because I know I will!
________________________________I saw Matthew almost punching the man that was about to hit me with his car. He looked terrified and just behind him, I could see a little girl sitting in the back seat of the car. I gasped softly and quickly walked towards Matthew.
"Daddy!" I heard the little girl shout. From the sound of it, the girl sounded terrified and I guess anyone would be. Anyone would be terrified.
I saw Matthew looking at the girl and lowering his arm. He sighed and turned himself around where he immediately faced me. He looked a bit shocked when he saw me.
"Matthew..." I said softly as he was looking at me. He opened his mouth slightly but then closed it again. It looked like he had no idea what to say.
I saw that he was breathing insanely fast and he hands were still in fists. His knuckles were barely his normal skin colour. It was all white.
"Hey..." I said softly again. Without over thinking it, I held Matthew's hand and he started to look at me slowly. His beautiful hazel eyes were looking into mine and all I saw in his eyes was guilt. His eyes were fully filled with guilt...
"It's okay..." I said softly again and I saw Matthew calming down. His shoulders were finally resting and his breathing was getting normal again.
I put my hands on his cheeks and I saw Matthew closing his eyes. He pushed his cheeks slightly against my hand more which made me chuckle. He almost looked like a puppy that enjoyed my touch.
Enjoyed my touch...
"I-I am really sorry miss." I heard the man say. I saw Matthew opening his eyes and I quickly looked at him.
The man looked stressed out and just like me. He was shaking a little bit. I couldn't imagine how he was feeling. He certainly didn't do it on purpose. He was driving with his daughter.
"It is really okay." I said and gave him a small smile. The man just smiled nervously and Matthew did not dare to turn around to see the look on the man's face and I did not blame him for it.
"I-I have to call someone to check my car but I am so sorry." He apologised again and I just shook my head with a warming smile. He did not deserve to get shit from anyone.
When I saw the little girl getting out, hugging her father. I felt jealous. I wish my father cared as much as he did for her daughter. I mean, the love was clear to see... I just never had it and I probably would never have it in my entire life.
My father and I were not as them. I had to stop imagining it and stop thinking that he might start loving me because he won't. He will never and the thought of him to do so made me hold back in life and that's what I didn't want.
When I moved to New York, I wanted a new life. It sure as hell was boring and lonely but somehow I felt happier and less miserable than I did when I lived together with my father.
"Let's go." I said and held Matthew's hand. I turned around and was quickly faced my a girl maybe around my age. She awfully looked a lot like Matthew.
The shape of her eyes were literally the same as his but the colour was just a bit different. She gave me a small smile which I returned immediately. Gosh, her smile was just like Matthew's. She is either his sister or a really close family member.
"Euhm..." Matthew mumbled softly and I looked at him. I had no idea why he looked so uncomfortable and that's when it clicked it. This was definitely his sister.
I knew what Matthew's reaction was when he introduced me to Emeraude and Dominic. He wasn't awkward. I mean he was certainly uncomfortable with Dominic's unnecessary comments but he wasn't awkward.
This girl who looked like a goddess was his sister.
"This is my sister Catherine." Matthew said as he introduced me to her. Both of us looked at each other and smiled.
"And this is Catherine..." He said softly and he looked at me. He looked unsure. He didn't knew what to call me and to be honest. It hurt me. I knew whatever was going on between us wasn't just for friends.
At least that's how I felt. Maybe he didn't... Maybe he did think that we were just friends... I mean a guy like Matthew, loving or liking me was almost impossible.
"And this is the girl I am dating." Matthew said and I slightly widened my eyes when I heard him spoke out his words. I certainly did not expect him to say that.
I saw a slight smirk on Catherine's face and she just nodded her head. Matthew shyly looked down and I could see his cheeks getting a bit red. I had never seen a guy blush before in my entire life.
I have seen it in movies or tv shows but not in real life. My heart melted when I saw him blush and thousands of butterflies exploded in my stomach and that's how I knew that I was hardly falling for him.
I was into him.
"I am glad brother." Catherine said and I chuckled softly without realising how they would react. I saw Matthew looking at me and giving me a small smile.
"I am glad too." I heard Matthew say softly and Catherine smiled and so did I.
Gosh, my heart... can't take this.
