Melanie's POV

I'm on my way to meet Bradley. He's been touring the United States for the past month.

We have been talking everyday. Sometimes I fly to see him or viceversa.

He's been extremely attentive to me after we reconciled, and I couldn't be more grateful.

"We're here, ma'am." The taxi driver called out.

I quickly thanked him and paid for the drive before running towards his hotel.

I re-read his text and made sure I found the right room before knocking on his door.

"House keeping!" I called out, imitating the best old lady voice I could.

I heard hurried steps approaching the door before it swung open.

"Melanie." Brad breathed out before taking my face in his hands and crashing his lips against mine.

I quickly kissed back before pushing him further into the room and away from the hallway.

The door closed behind me but our kiss continued. He pressed me against the door as our lips stayed in contact.

"Brad." I laughed after I slightly pulled away. "Stop eating my face, I missed you too." I giggled.

He smiled softly at me and pressed his forehead against mine. "I'm sorry, I can't control myself when I'm around you."

"Mm, neither can I." I mumbled before I held him captive in my kiss once more. I slowly pushed him backwards towards his bed and sat on his lap.

"Room service!" We heard a voice call out.

"Fuck." He muttered as he pulled away. "I ordered room service for us, but I'd rather do this." He leaned in to kiss me again but I leaned back and rolled my eyes.

"Come in." I said as I got off Bradley's lap and sat down next to him instead.

Soon after, a young man entered and left the cart full of food after naming every dish on the table.

"Thank you." I smiled, and he nodded before exiting the room.

"I got us your favorite." He grinned as I took in the meal. "I'm sorry I couldn't take you out to a restaurant." He sighed as he glanced at his lap.

"That doesn't matter to me." I smiled softly as I took a hold of his hand. "I only want to spend time with you."

A light blush made it's way onto his cheeks as he let out a shy laugh.

"Right, well." He cleared his throat. "I'm all yours." He smirked.

What is this duality? One second he's shy, the next he's cocky?
