𝐒𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐤𝐞 𝐬𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐞𝐳𝐞𝐝 𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐲𝐞𝐬 𝐬𝐡𝐮𝐭, 𝐟𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐩𝐮𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐰𝐚𝐥𝐥. Orochimaru was growing on his last nerve, patience was the name of the game.

Patience, the Uchiha kept telling himself, a short while longer and he would be free from that rachet snake.

"Sasuke?" A love struck redhead stood a mere arms length behind him. Her hands remained clutched to her chest, though they longed to push out and grab hold of the raven haired male.

A irritated sigh left the Uchiha's lips. His patience was not thick enough to carry the weight of Karin.

"Hn" Sasuke spread out his fist, running his hand along the cool stone as he wordlessly left the redhead alone.

The cool exit did nothing to deter Karin's heart, Sasuke would notice her one day. Though, she no clue that his mine was already clouded by someone else.

Mio was a woman who took pride in her strength, maybe a little too much, it made her arrogant. Though, in the presence of Pein she felt small. His presence was like weight pushing on her, a pressure threatening to squeeze her eyes from their sockets.

In silence she had stood before the Akatsuki leader and for several minuets he just stared at her. The beaded eyes barreling into her soul.

"Mio Uchiha" her name fell his lips like a cloud of darkness.

Suddenly his eyes swayed away from the ravenette and to Deidara. "Why did you bring a stranger into our home?" Peins tone created dead from its void of emotion, it was a stale sound akin to his face.

Fearfully the blonde swallowed, a hand picking at his coat collar. "You can trust her, I trust her" he had no real answer to his leaders question.

Deidara was just tiptoeing along a cliffs edge, trying to avoid a death Pein was almost certainly going to condemn him too.

The ginger haired man's eyes narrowed, "why should I not kill you and her right now?"

Mio sucked in a small breath, her heart picking up in pace. "I know the nine tails, Naruto Uzumaki" the words rushed out of her mouth before she could recognize their worth.

Practically the whole ninja world knew by now that the Akatsuki were capturing the tailed beasts. Mio would never throw her friend to the wolves, but she could lead the hunting organization on a goose chase to save her life.

Mio stared to the side, a short apology whispered out to her friend in Konoha.

The corner of Pein's lips twitched up in a devious, low smile. "You'll be under 24/7 surveillance, dont think I won't kill you yet". Unbothered the man retured the various forms which were pulled throughout his desk.

Wordlessly the two ninja crept from the office. Mio lent against the stone wall of the hallway, a hand held to her heart.

"You ok?" Deidara moved to stand next to her, their arms touching.

"I always am" the words kept from her lips in a snarl, her nails scratching against the stone. "I don't need you worry" a stale sort of anger moved to reside in her, it was all too familiar.

Being in Pein's presence felt almost to close to Danzo.

Without sparing her blond friend a glance, the Uchiha pushed away from the wall and into the darkness, Zetsu peeking from the shadows at her every move.

A low yell of frustration left Mio's lips as she collapsed on a bed. It was in a mostly empty, it looked as if it belonged to no one, so now it was hers.

"What am I doing?" She whispered to herself, how had she allowed herself to end up in a situation like this. Danzo would be disappointed, maybe even Kakashi.

How had she, a former root member, allow herself to be trapped like this. Atleast Itachi was here and Deidara, maybe they could be of some use.

Itachi Uchiha came to a stop outside her open doorway. His hand played against the wall as he held his breath, peering at her. The man watched the kunoichi roll over, curling up and uttering a soft, almost inaudible "sasuke".

The name made Itachi's stomach go sour and as quickly as he had stopped, the ninja was already back on his way down the corridor.

It had been a few days since Sasuke had last seen Orochimaru, the snake like man had sent the Uchiha out. So now the raven haired man was, wandering the woods.

Though the stream of tedious missions wasnt what held the Uchiha in a rotten mood, it was Mio- or well, her blonde partner.

It had been a while since he had last seen her, yet several questions roamed his mind. For perhaps the first time, Sasuke was actually worried he was loosing her.

That what when he saw him.

Sasuke Uchiha locked eyes with a certain blonde haired bomber Mio seemed so close with. A smirk lifted on the raven haired mans lips.

It's been a while to say the least. I have no excuses, but my school semester starts monday and I usually write more on campus which is probably a bad habit. . . Anyways, I'm sorry.

Happy new year and new decade, it's been like almost year since I first started writing on here 🙈
