A nervous laugh wrung from the blondes mouth. He shifted awkwardly, moving to scratch the back of his neck with a closed eyed smile.

"Naruto" Mio growled. No matter how much she loved the knucklehead she was seconds away from crunching his neck if he didn't hurry up.

Behind them Sasuke had moved to sit on a nearby piece of rubble. He was safe (for now) and even though he desired to beat Naruto to a pulp, the Uchiha would rather stay in Mio's good graces.

"You haven't heard?" The ninja's laughter died down, "Danzo's Hokage now, or atleast until the old hag wakes up". Naruto looked to her warily, awaiting a reaction.

Mio tensed,  "well, you better start looking for a new replacement". The kunoichi launched up, landing on a mound of stone, sprinting across the ruins towards the roots entrance.

If she knew Danzo then he would be cowering in his hideouts protection to avoid death. The old bag of bones didn't care for anyone but himself.

Sasuke stood from the rocks he stood on, glaring at Naruto. "This isn't over" he spoke before shooting off after the ravenette.

Naruto wanted to chase after them and fight once again by their side. His first clenched in frustration, one day they would come back to Konoha and everything would be ok.

Now however, there were more pressing matters at his hands. Konoha had been destroyed and it was his job to help rebuild.

Distraught the blonde dove off in the opposite direction of his friends and towards the working people.

"What's this?" Sasuke asked. He landed heavy footed on the ground by Mio.

She hovered over a black vault door which was moulded into the ground. With a grunt the kunoichi twisted the handle, lifting the door up.

In unison the duo looked down, a thin ladder slithered down into darkness. Whatever this place was, it was buried deep.

"This" she huffed out of breath "is home" a distorted sort of smile spread on her face. He could see the embers of a fire ignited within her eyes, Mio was not scared- not in the slightest. She was angry.

Without hesitation the ravenetted clung on to the ladder, her hands loosely holding onto the side as she slid down at a rapid pace. The girl could feel the cold air rushing around und her.

At the last second Mio's grip tightened, forcing her body to come to a startling stop just above the water filled floor. Silently she stepped down, slowly to avoid sloshing in the murky water.
